The blog specifically mentions this trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTQ2C978xVc
which is the E3 2013 battle trailer they released after the main one debuted. Specifically the blog says Tabata and one of the staff in charge of the game's camera worked on editing the Behemoth and Iron Giant scenes with the cooperation of the development team.
O yea I agree. Although the uncovered trailer had a e3'13 feel to it.
Yea, it's funny actually. If you look at the timeline of trailers, Tabata has been getting progressively better at cutting a trailer. I mean compare the Uncovered trailer with the "Noctis angrily pointing at clouds with bad lipsyncing" trailer. Night and day.^ yup, that trailer was really well put together. Was exciting.
Although, I do really like the Uncovered trailer, so sometimes Tabata can be alright at it (lol).
Gonna be kinda hard tbh. E3 2013 rivals maybe top 3 trailers of all time for meHeh, just saw the "who directed E3 2013 trailer?" flurry.
Although that's still my top XV trailer, I think TGS 2014 and Uncovered long version are both really good trailers. Also, I like Dawn 2.0, and, music aside, E3 2016 isn't bad at all.
Still, hoping we get an epic release trailer that challenges E3 2013 and starts things off on a good note.
I'd SOOOO much want this. It's what I had a discussion with my sister about, I miss scenario events like that in the FF games. They seem to be going for a more "trim the fat" type of thing nowadays(at least post-FFX). I miss when you had breathing time to venture off into another direction, and everything wasn't so urgently tied to the main plot. Yeah, there should be situations where you either have to cast Mini or Frog on yourself to enter an area(kinda like FFIII's Owen Tower, Nepto Shrine and Tozas).I kind wished more recent games implemented the special statuses into the plot in FF.
Could you imagine needing to intentionally cast Mini, Imp, or even Frog on yourself in order to infiltrate an enemy location to collect information or sneak into a facility with very strong exterior security.
The only time this actually was done was way back in FF3 to go into the Mini Village. I think there was one part in FFV which you needed Frog to enter a sewer grate to go through an aqueduct or something.
I could totally see Ignis needing to convince Noctis to turn into a Frog to spy on a Niflheim enemy camp to find plans or what objective is and report back to him in some kind of "Sneak in undetected and disguised" sort minor stealth sequence.

Maybe that's subjective. There's also the whole thing that E3 2013 was CG.
And to be honest, this has surpassed it in my opinion. it came without the hoopla of the reveal of the next numbered Final Fantasy at E3, and still has an amazing number of views. Even how it's directed, too.
The Uncovered trailers are pretty good, too. And to be honest, you can stitch the whole Altissia + Insomnia scenes in the E3 2013 trailer and the Uncovered trailer and they would look similar.
I hope that we get to hear the E3 2013 music in full during the game. Mainly when it's the Altissia section.

The parts where the horn just blares in reminds me of Godzilla, and it makes sense if that was the inspiration since you're fighting larger than life summons in the game. Leviathan was just a huge monster wreaking havoc.
But it still looks like thisI really wish the game still looked like this. I wonder what happened where the fidelity took a nosedive like it has.
As I pointed out to jett sometime ago, this is pretty untrue. We've seen plenty of different kinds of outdoors environments (swamps, coastal regions, deserts, snowy region, forests of different kind & even some more fantastical environments), some different in-doors locations (caves, sewers, what seems like some kind of industrial plant or something), 4 different cities (3 of which are fully explorable, one that sounds like it's more of a story-related, more limited visit), some smaller locales (the tropical beach resort), other locations (enemy bases) and such.So many pics of randomly fighting random monsters in random wild plains... I seem to remember the previous FFs having much more diverse screenshots before their releases.
I was thinking about this part and thinking how awkard it looks. The Uncovered trailer does have a bunch of phrases though. Just not in Latin.

E3 2016 trailer is indeed a good trailer if muted. I can't understand why they ruined it with the song choice. It would have been so cool to see the Leviathan fight is still in the game.
This game is a visual masterpiece.
Well, it took 10 pages for anyone on GAF to notice it. I suspect everyone at the marketing department missed it too.Wow. I cant believe they released that as a screenshot. Look at the animal down, its ears are all glitching.

I've come to the fact that whoever releases screenshots for Square-Enix games actually works for an evil entity that wants to see the company get taken down.

Guess I'm missing it, what am I supposed to be looking at here? The downed animal's head is cut off the screen to the right, all we can see is its long neck. What we see towards the middle of the screen are its legs.

My friend wanted to buy this game until I said to him: ''it's an action rpg, just like the remake of FFVII will be'' and it was like WTF
Not trying to disparage anyone who enjoys the previews and such, but this is totally why we have unrealistic expectations of games. Say what you will about modern graphical prowess, but still shots arent the way to appreciate these feats in design. Along with that, how many times haev we all seen a screenshot thread for FFXV now? The hype just grows and grows and grows and there's no way this game will live up to anyone's expectations. You'll get your Faithful, of course... but don't we know enough about the game (and HAVE known enough?) to just let it incubate and get a release? We shoot ourselves in the foot by covering stuff so much. Although, Square Enix obviously isn't helping by releasing these goodies... Certainly takes two to tango...
I miss the somber mood from the 2011 trailer. The car scene and the Ignis/Noctis cgi at the end. That was GOAT.

but wait mode.
I will never forget the car scene. It was simply beautiful.
Still, turn based RPG are dead.

If anything, the opposite is true. The more SE shows from the game, the lower people's expectations are becoming (at least here).
