Final Hyrule Warriors DLC characters leaked.

You know who they should have brought back?

It's like the world forgot about Veran.

Veran, Onox and Twinrova. Oh hey 3 good villain characters. If there is a sequel and they're not in it, then I dunno what even.

No they don't. Nintendo owns those games entirely. It's like saying IntSys owns FE because they make them, when Nintendo owns 100% of FE. Or that HAL owns some rights to Kirby.

Okay. I just thought since Capcom's logo appears right next to Nintendo's logo in the opening of Minish Cap that they might have some kind of dual ownership of the Capcom-developed games. I thought HAL and IntSys were different because they're affiliates of Nintendo, while Capcom is distinct. But I don't remember exactly what Flagship was. Maybe they were an affiliate at some point, too.

They still developed them, so yeah, they have to appear in the credits, but Nintendo owns the games entirely. Also Flagship, the studio at Capcom that made those Zeldas, dissolved long ago, and good part (if not all) of the employees joined Nintendo.

Nope. Neither HAL nor IntSys are owned by Nintendo. I think Nintendo may own a part of HAL, but IntSys is basically a 3rd party that works exclusively with Nintendo and gets a steady stream of work from Nintendo. IntSys could start making games for other 1st/3rd parties whenever they would have wanted, or even self-publish their own games.

Ah, in that case, then I'm very annoyed Vaati didn't show up. I really like him. :( Hyrule Warriors 2 on portable NX with the Flagship games and BotW, please!

Same. Minish Cap is the best 2D LoZ IMO, and Vaati could have a fun moveset (especially if they would implement his transformations).

I really hope Toon Zelda is a ghost.

I don't know if it's the best, but MC is my favorite. All of that sounds good to me!

Hilda is an indefinitely better choice than Toon Zelda. Ravio and Yuga are solid choice but when compared to Toon Zelda? Hilda got robbed.

I really hope Toon Zelda is a ghost.

Actually if this is the case then Toon Zelda redeemed. But it'd still be crappy considering Toon Link's weapon is most likely Zelda Phantom.

Maybe Toon Link's weapon will be a train?

Were the Oracle games and Minish Cap even up for consideration for inclusion? I figured that they were excluded from this game because Capcom shares the rights in some way. As much as I love Vaati, I worry that the fact that he was almost exclusively in Flagship games might mean Nintendo can't (or just doesn't want to) use him. Then again, FSA was made by Nintendo and featured him...

I think it might be more related to the bad blood between Koei and Capcom, rather than any rights issue (due to Capcom patent trolling them for disc expansion packs for games - something Capcom registered a little before the first Xtreme Legends expansion came out but never even used). The Minish Cap hat was a sticker in Smash Bros Brawl and they didn't seem to need to credit Capcom for it. Sames goes to FS Adventures (even though the original FS was made by Flagship, just like the Oracle games and Minish Cap).

I'm pretty sure FE and Kirby's rights are shared actually. Generally, both Nintendo and HAL/IS are credited for their copyrights together, rather than just Nintendo. Kirby's rights being shared also was mentioned last year by the Skylander staff apparently.

Well, I was holding out for Linebeck, but I guess I'll skip out on this game. I don't care enough about Zelda stuff that's not Toon Link related.

I was actually surprised to see that the Oracle games weren't completely forgotten, some of the seeds from those games are featured as food in the My Fairy mode.

Minish Cap getting no representation is a crime, though... unless they do the unlikely and make Ezlo the new weapon for Toon Link

That's the dream. Though it would be perfect in a Minish Cap pack to have Ezlo as Toon Link's weapon. Well it would be more like Toon Link as Ezlo's weapon. But seriously it's probably Phantom Zelda. Unless that's Toon Zelda's weapon?

To all the people wanting Groose in the game, tell me what his moveset would be. Because seriously, he didn't done shit in SS outside of inventing catapults.

Good. One of the most generic and boring characters to ever be in a LoZ game.

On Topic: I wonder how Ravio will fight. Guessing he will use items you could buy from him.
Unless he's just a Link clone with a slightly altered moveset :^)

What? He's a character that actually goes through character development and evolves as a person. That is something that can only be said about a very small minority of Zelda characters.

To all the people wanting Groose in the game, tell me what his moveset would be. Because seriously, he didn't done shit in SS outside of inventing catapults.

And what would Ravio's be? He didn't do anything apart from being a massive coward and sell items to a real hero.

Bombs, some bomb launcher or mini catapult in his standard moveset, and then the actual Groosenator for his specials. Also some attacks with his Loftwing. No one should have been expecting him this time though considering how the packs were clearly all based (and named) on portable games, aside from the Wind Waker one.

His character development is go from generic local village bully that has same love interest as MC to generic bully-converted-to-pal of MC that helps from time to time. There are thousands upon thousands of characters like that. Him being the only one like that in the LoZ franchise doesn't makes him any less generic.

And hey, I've never said Ravio is a good choice.

Ravio?! :D

Toon Zelda is okay, and Yuga is cool, but Ravio is the real winner! Really hope he uses his items and bird in his move set.

Are we really going to start complaining about who would do what in a Musou game based on what they did in their respective series? Who cares if Groose didn't do much in Skyward Sword and that wouldn't make him a good character to play as, Agitha did even less than him in Twilight Princess and she still got in with an original moveset.

And she's the worst character in HW :D Seriously, fuck her. If they've wanted another TP character, even Yeti or Yeta would be better. Love me some ice-based moves.

Have you seen the Hyrule Warrior's roster?

Half the characters never did a combat action ever.

Fucking Marin is a character!!!

Just have him build a handheld catapult to toss bombs. Done. It'll already bee more interesting than a lot of fighting styles. Besides there were tons of weights oh his room in Skyward Sword dude may not be hero strong but he's not weak.

Oracles of Seasons and Ages and Minish Cap really got snubbed. I guess they need to save Veran, Onox, Twinrova and Vaati for a sequel. Gotta pull some Zelda villains from somewhere. God damn I'm so mad they went with a lame choice for PH&ST. Toon Zelda is a nothing of most nothings.

Never got the Groose hype at all. Seems like the equivalent of wanting Dan Hibiki in SFV. Then again I want Linebeck.

I doubt Nintendo will ever put those Capcom developed Zelda games and characters in crossovers.
