Nintendo is holding their own games hostage from the consumer! It's not FAIR!!!

That would be a terrible use of the system! Why would you want to play a massive open world game that requires hours of gameplay on the go, rather than in the comfort of your own home?
I whipped this up pretty quick. My best guess atm. I'm thinking Wii Remote-style rotation.
So will Emily react to this?
Because the DS sold 150 million and people are expecting this trend to continue. 3DS really slowed down in the past couple years tooWhy are people saying handhelds are dead outside of Japan? The Vita was poorly supported and the 3DS sold 60m.
Zelda Breath of the Wild in my pocket? Yes please.
I feel like Voldemort lol.
Emily told me this last night. And I was always of the belief my info was about the NX stationary home console with amd chipsets and hers was an Nvidia powered handheld. So nothing has shocked me.
I'll gladly eat crow and accept the L if nx is revealed and there's no home console.
Generally speaking, a modern Tegra would have a more advanced feature set, and at least somewhat more horsepower than the Wii U.
Without the specifics, it's hard to say too directly what it would look like.
Hmmm.... Could the supplemental computing device be sold later for like $100-$150 to boost console performance?
Regardless, this seems pretty cool. Hoping it's Tegra X2 instead of X1.
Due for 2017 you mean. But yes. Also I think there's only like one Nintendo-published announced 3DS game still in development, Grezzo's JRPG.
So will Emily react to this?
Come on now.
Yeah, that was a huge success, especially compared to the 3DS.Why don't they just copy the Vita?
So, weaker than the WiiU.
Honestly, I'm kinda hoping for a Zelda GO as well.Zelda Breath of the Wild in my pocket? Yes please.
Having thought about it, the only way NX becomes successful is if they completely body all support for 3DS and focus entirely on NX. Everything gets released on NX or nothing.

It honestly does not make sense for the North American market. No one will bother carrying a large portable device with them when they have their phone. And it will undoubtedly be severely underpowered as a home console, which means they lose what few customers they still had in that market as well.
Selling 60 million would be a 12 million loss of sales though. Why are people saying handhelds are dead outside of Japan? The Vita was poorly supported and the 3DS sold 60m.
If Nintendo sell 60m of these before they move on I'm sure they'll be delighted.

It begins.... as a handheld gamer im really happy.
End of the main series from Game Freak. There would still be spinoffs, and maybe even a reboot by another dev. Game Freak might shift focus to mobile, current consoles, and PC. We already know that they have PS4 and Xbone dev kits, and I doubt that they bought them to make only one game. Perhaps they were preparing to part ways with Nintendo.
Due for 2017 you mean. But yes.
There is a dock... why are all of you forgetting?
Anything about region lock?
Is it really that hard to wrap your head around the concept that some people might like the idea of being able to do both things with zero effort? That would be a terrible use of the system! Why would you want to play a massive open world game that requires hours of gameplay on the go, rather than in the comfort of your own home?
Why are people dissapointed at Tegra? This is a handheld...
Aren't cartridges more expensive to produce than discs? Why would this happen? Also Nintendo games rarely go down in price, too.
Yeah now seems like a good time to just end Pokemon forever
This thread is hottake heaven right now
This direction makes the most sense for them right now if you think about it. I'm not quite sure how they plan to sell this thing (North America will ignore this thing while I can see Japan supporting it), but the concept itself sounds exciting to me. Having both Nintendo game lineups - console and handheld - on one system is fantastic.
One thing that scares me though is that they could design their games around portability instead of just making console games for a portable device. Less 3D Land, more Galaxy pls. Also, I hope the hardware won't be too Fisher Price toy-esque; give us a good screen that I want to play on and not like Wii U or 3DS where all is wishy washy to these HD-spoiled eyes
So yeah, exciting times if you haven't had your head in the sand for the past decade. Personally I'm interested in that thing but yeah, this will be a tough sell and they better bring it in September
Selling 60 million would be a 12 million loss of sales though.
The problem with vents is they'd expose the internals of the handheld to dust, debris, water etc. Maybe this isn't really a big deal but I don't think Nintendo handhelds have ever done it..
It was on Wii U.Monster Hunter in HD you guys
Its finally going to happen
