A little fluff between the ears never did any harm...
Maybe it'd be good in a future update to had blueprints that allow you to stack items, and then improve them. It's also be nice to have separate blueprints for each rarity. For example:

Gravitino Ball Stacker Sigma: X10 Stacking Ability
Gravitino Ball Stacker Tau: X25 Stacking Ability
Gravitino Ball Stacker Theta: X50 Stacking Ability
Gravitino Ball Stacker Omega: X100 Stacking Ability

And the same for other stuff like charms, Geknip, etc

That way it makes endgame money making slightly easier but also gives us a lot more blueprints whilst not making early game ridiculously easier.
If you wanna stack gravitino balls, you can deconstruct an upgrade that will give you some, like the photon blaster advanced cooling theta (you'll have to construct it first), that will give you 5 stacked Gravitino balls, and as long as you don't sell all of them, you can keep stacking up to 100...

Yeah, I think somme's original suggestion was to keep the existing stacking ability but making it harder to exploit in the early game.

That said, I don't think it's a great idea. Exosuit tech already takes up so much space in your inventory that the idea of adding one more module (or four!) just to stack a single resource seems counterproductive. Also, what happens if you dismantle that module? Do you immediately lose the stack? People would be really pissed if they lost a ton of resources because of a misclick. Do you keep the stack? Then people could abuse the system by filling their stack to the top, then dismantling the module(s) for extra inventory space. Even if you can only take from the stack at that point, and can't add new items, it still seems pretty close to the current functionality, only with more module juggling.

Honestly, I'd rather they just let things stack. Hello Games has already said recently that they'd be looking at increasing inventory space further, so I think eventually we'll get something like an actual stacking function.

Well you'd just use the one Omega print to be able to stack one hundred at a time. You'd then conceivably be able to stack thousands. You wouldn't need to use all four, though could if you wanted. Just make the better blueprints much rarer to find.

And if someone dismantles the blueprint they keep the stack but can no longer stack more than one-per stack.

Module juggling isn't really a problem for me. This would just allow people to stack items without using an exploit.

EDIT: Let's put it this way. If you had two slots left you could either use one for a module and stack up to the hundred Gravitinos in the other slot, or just have two Gravitino Balls.

Man I REALLY love the ships that have that ring around them. There are some cool ships in this game but those are by far my favorite.

Yeah, those were my second choice over asymmetrical ones.

Mine is the blue that landed on the corner of the launch pad because apparently that other ship started the landing process before mine...

Did anyone find anything crazy yet? I keep checking this thread and haven't seen anything much crazier than what I encountered in my game...

(I don't necessarily mean this as criticism. :) I did enjoy playing NMS for 15-20 hours... Just curious.)

I'm nowhere close to having enough inventory space to do this right now, but am I correct in that different level enhancements stack?

I set foot on a planet that seems like it's going to be nasty to stay alive on (getting attacked constantly and pretty extreme weather). Going to give it a go (still need a few materials to upgrade my hyper drive) before moving on. This is actually the first planet I've been on for a while with any kind of fauna.

Did I also read that certain types of star will provide certain types of environment? It makes sense, and would help with identifying likely destinations for materials.

Technologies do stack, and putting them next to each other in your inventory gives you a small bonus (like 5%) for each similar tech they touch.

And for those that are dealing with harsh conditions now, it gets way, WAY easier to live in extreme environments once you have the Theta-level (I think that's the highest?) Environmental protection tech installed. You can stack 2 and and be out in Extreme environments for like 10-15 minutes at a time without having to recharge.

Could you guys give me the beacon code of the system you're currently in?

I wanna try how hard it is to get there. Can't promise it will be quick or easy though, and that will also of course depend on how far away you are from my current position...

edit: endgame spoiler
I'm still in Euclid, so don't bother if you moved on :p

Anyone? :(

Maybe a planet with cities? (or something that resembles that) Even that worm from release trailer (?) would be exciting to see :)

We knew before the game launched there'd be no cities.

Doubt there's any huge worms either. Who knows what the future holds though.

All right, can't sit and wait for ages, I HAVE to test this :p

TheCochese, thanks for the code. You are the Chosen One.

Come and watch me go and visit his system. Or fail miserably.

I think the extreme survival might still be bugged. I'm hanging out on another hostile rock that I named 'ACTIVE PORTALS!'. But my countdown ticker is at a standstill same as before. Guess I'll just wait a while longer and see if it changes.

... Like an elk?

"Yakul!"

Here's that Mononoke-ish deer I was talking about. It just looks rather anime.

NMS's textures can sometimes look rough, especially the ground textures (snow, I'm looking at you), but the flora always is usually pretty great. I love this plant in particular, the way the sunlight filters through its leaves:

This might be the best dino I've seen in the game. Style and chill. Had a great roar too.

Yes, need to find another anomaly.

While we're on the subject, can someone explain anomalies to me? I saw a message pop up about an anomaly being detected in the system I'm in right now, but I can't find any markers relating to it. I'm in a system with an Atlas Interface, is that causing issues somehow?

It's possible you need to go to the Galaxy map to see the next Anomaly waypoint (which you will need to make a hyperdrive jump to). Make sure you have gotten what you need from your current Atlas Interface.

Is there any way to turn off all the HUD elements on PS4? I'm itching to take some nice screens, but can never get clean shots with all the waypoints etc. in the way.

This whole idea was crazy, and ultimately pointless in a way (but what isn't?) but this is fun. And I swear I'm seeing a ton of new shit.

You can run? I've been walking like a sucker right up until a night or two ago when my brother (PC version owner) told me about the melee/jetpack trick.

You can run, but it's limited by stamina. On PS4 it's R3, not sure what it is on PC. Took me awhile to find it out too.

If you press the touchpad to bring up the inventory, you can close and hit the share button immediately after. If you time it right you can get a no HUD screen cap.

Sadly your ship Icon and some waypoints will still be there.

What a huge oversight in a game where taking screenshots and sharing them is such a big part of the experience. How does PC have the option and its not patched into PS4 yet? Ir is it? I dunno. They need to make it happen quick.

So for a while I spent a couple of days on this planet because it just felt really nice to be on. It wasn't the typical grassy planet but it had this tropical, jungle feel and patches of trees that actually felt dense. Thinking about it now, it's probably because how "normal" it felt. The sky was blue, the leaves and grass were green, and the water wasn't neon purple or red.

I'm definitely playing out of habit now (trying to do some 30 day photo expedition) but it makes the nicer planets feel special.

It's still pretty unintuitive. You have to go to the menu and turn off the HUD, go out of the menu, take a photo, and then turn the HUD back on if you want it to be somewhat playable.

Play more. I must be over 100 hours and only 9 warps but I'm still running into new freaky stuff. Investigate more planets. People need to lay off with the warping. ;-)

I once saw a Gek with a silly hat

The hubcap? Saw a few today for the first time.

Spent just over an hour on this toxic rock with no change in the extreme survival counter/achievement. I'm going with still broken.

Then it might not be Extreme. It has to be EXTREME.

This game needs a dedicated photo mode

I've been trying to find a good ringed ship and I haven't encountered a single one. I'm so bummed.

I thought I'd seen every "type" of creature but then recently I ran into these eyeball aquatic things.
