what I like most about Ohmori is that he seems like a total Otaku and that hes bringing that outside touch from other franchises to Pokemon

Seems like all three of them are related, I wonder who is the Father?

Turns out all 3 are Ultra Beasts.

Type: Null is some Mother 3 shit. I love it. Kind of wish it was literally typeless though, that could be interesting. Zero weaknesses, but also no resistances and no STAB...

Huh it really rolls off the tongue so well

Callie

Lillie!

nice strawman there, or maybe it's false analogy that is the term for this

What the fuck are you doing in HG? You could literally run through with it with your starter. Also I'd argue Gen V is the "hardest" of all.

Gen 5 was hard in the very beginning and at the very end, probably the most difficult moments, with Ghetsis, N, Colress, etc. Gen 4 is the hardest champion, Gen 3 had the hardest Elite 4, and Gen 1 is the hardest pre-E4.

AFAIK every single one of the games can be run/abused with just the starter.

Which leak was this?

basically this
basically they came from somewhere, I think bulba? and these came out before mimikyu etc.

the new riddle is this

(carried over the aristotle riddle)

still not sure where the source is from though

some guy figured it's probably a kawatengu

but the solution guy is wrong because he made three riddles into a single mon

I personally think the kappa is the turtle we got

Getting to gyms and not already being five levels above all of their pokemon based only on the encounters along the route?

you ignore trainer battles?!

Gen 1 was not hard at all especially with so many abuses you can do with it. I'd argue Gen 4 is the hardest end game, not just champ. Gen 5 generally has the hardest "feel" especially BW due to all new mons.

Null looks awesome. And I like the introduction of Ultra Beasts. The mainline games have been MOSTLY dull and predictable in terms of new content for the past two decades that I'm just loving all the crazy shit they're adding this time. Fucking finally

No I'm saying that the exp curve from trainers/random encounters in Heart Gold was noticeably calibrated against the gym battles differently from Black, which was calibrated differently from X. I did them all practically back to back. Gyms 6-8 and the Elite Four in HG were significantly challenging to the party I brought into them, whereas X was a cakewalk literally all the way through

Not true, I recommend playing them again. And yeah I mean you can exploit games and make them easy but thats not really indicative of the overall difficulty. Fire spinning everything to death or using the missingno glitch is like headshotting everyone with the tranq gun in metal gear solid and complaining that its too easy/repetitive. RBY are easily some of the most challenging games, and pretty much the only ones where normal ass trainers can sometimes give you a run for your money IMO

I forgot about this until the RBY release on VC.

But yeah BW is probably the most legitimately difficult

Gen V is the only outlier as all games except that used the same exp gain.

I buy cakes for myself on my birthday it's not weird lots of people do it I bet
Oh, and it seems the yellow zig-zag on Tortunator's face isn't a mustache---it's the bottom of its jaw.

I love it, hope it's final evolution looks like a bad ass Ankylosaurus. (I think it's supposed to look like an Ankylosaurus, with the ball at the end of its tail).

It might be a scelidosaurus, but going by the head shape and the tail it's probably based on an ankylosaurus. Disappointing because we kinda already have an ankylosaurus in Torterra.

How far does this go...

So it's the Mewtwo to Arceus' Mew? Maybe it was created to combat the Ultra Beasts.

Put it this way: this year, I've done a full story replay of Heart Gold, Black, and X in the span of about six months. Heart Gold was noticeably more difficult (especially past the fifth gym) than Black and even Black was noticeably more difficult than X (with Exp share usually turned off and only Mega Blastoise on my team, who was rarely deployed)

This isn't nostalgia

I'm not necessarily asking for it to return to high levels of difficulty, but a BW2-esque hard mode unlocked from the start for those of us who want it would be nice
Yup. Challenge Mode was great in B2W2. I just finished a replay of Pokemon Red and am currently doing a replay of Pokemon White, the games are way more challenging than XY even with exp share off and mega evolution omitted.

The new system actually made the games a bit harder, so it's removal actually made X and Y easier. However, there were other changes that were compiling over Gen V (notably team composition) that made the games easier than Gen IV (challenge mode being a bit of an exception: it's basically what B2W2 would be like if the games had steadily gotten harder from HGSS instead of easier). X and Y had even more concessions made alongside the return to the old system, including a notable reduction in team sizes (which worryingly seems to be a factor in these trailers) and the exp all.
not even close to the same

The ring does bear a resemblance. I'd say it's probable.

My take on Ultra Beasts:

- You battle them, perhaps in a somewhat unconventional way, but they're not regular Pokemon, so you can't catch them.
- Lillie disappears and UB-01 shows up. Later more significant characters disappear and corresponding Ultra Beasts show up
- It turns out the Aether Foundation are experimenting with merging Pokemon and Humans to create something powerful
- But of course you discover the best way to do this is not through experiments but through THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP
- There's your syncro-evolution

this post has set my soul on fire

Figured I'd point out that another bullet point in the 4chan leaks came true today.

"Time works differently in each version"

The line I'm talking about is under 4: The "Real leaks" leak

Here is an old version, the creator has since updated the image but idk where it is.

The third gym in X has level 30 Pokemon. You don't get level 30 pokemon until gyms 5 and 6 in Heart Gold. The progression was absolutely slower. Even with the Exp Share turned off it is easier to gain experience in X
