Type: Null helmet is Arceus's Cross, but in a smaller/more helmety shape. The point of alchemy is to achieve the power of Azoth aka God aka Arceus. But the hexagons and being made from Zygrade Cell's is definitely possible.

There is so much to this Pokemon it's insane.

I can't wait for Gen 4 to be remade in the AZOTH continuity. Pokemon's new meta story is so amazing.

Not sure if this comparison has been made yet (I haven't seen it, personally), but my husband came up with an interesting theory regarding Type: Null and Zygarde.

09ekloR.png

I noticed this yesterday, too!

The crazy thing about Type: Null is that, to me, it feels like it's taking the concept of Arceus and used Zygarde as glue to put it all together. You know, like it looking like a chimera because the creators were intending to infuse it with every type so that it can be like Arceus. Then there's the whole concept behind Zygarde, in that it maintains the balance of nature by using nature (well, more like its cells that are all over the place, but you get the idea). So, a synthetic Pokemon that was made using Zygarde cells to bring the whole thing together to approach the power of some of nature's most powerful beings is like the opposite of what Zygarde is meant to be.

As for why the Zygarde cells would be used like glue, well cells are what really allow Zygarde to be as powerful as it is. The cells are just the individual parts that form a greater whole, and they do come together really well to do so. I could see some scientists trying to use Zygarde cells to create a powerful base for them to alter to fit the power of Arceus, or using it in a way you would use glue, to stick different parts together (not literally of course, but that's the idea), i.e. attaching five cells to its backside so that the Gyrados-like fin would stick. Could be a case of both, too.

Type:Null's cross looks nothing like Arceus's.

None of its body parts look anything like what people are saying they do. lol

When the Gen 5 starters leaked and people thought they were fakes made out of rhyperior and other pokemons body parts, that was more convincing than these type:null comparisons I'm seeing on vp

i felt like i was taking crazy pills. they look nothing alike, not even a bit

I think it's supposed to look like a bunch of generic types put together.

Like that back fin kind of looks like Gyarados, but not enough that you could point and say it's specifically from Gyarados.

I think the tail is Water (could also be Dragon I guess), the legs and body are Dark, the front legs are Bug, the helmet is Steel and the horn is Rock. The frill might be just decoration, or to imply Ghost.

Just sort of a mismash of random types to represent a Pokemon that's supposed to be "all types" of Pokemon, without having specific pieces from specific Pokemon, because that might be a little too creepy for Pokemon.

I decided to look up nos for Arceus: 10'06", 705.5lbs
Type: Null falls a bit short: 6'03", 265.7 lbs.
Still bigger than 10% Zygarde: 3′11″, 73.9 lbs (although much of that height difference is the horn on Type: Null).

Ah yes, Wottergate:

Does anyone have that image of the four potential leaks for this game? I know one of them specifically mentioned that time would work differently in each version but I don't remember which one.

That was in "Leak 4". I'll only post the link in case people haven't seen the leaked starters yet.

Note that Leak 4 seems to be the most suspicious of these, as it's gotten a few typings for the Alolan forms wrong, as well not being able to tell if the one person made all those posts.

Guessing that time works differently between each version isn't a major stretch either, given the titles of the games.

The pattern of the spikes on Null's limiter helmet around its neck look exactly like Arceus's cross pattern around it body. I don't know how you can't see it. The biggest differences being Arceus's are joined at two points and a different color.

My theory is that Type: Null is only a Normal-type in its base form just like Arceus, and will be able to change into other types by holding Arceus' plates

It's driving me nuts wondering how Type: Null eats

It probably doesn't. There are pokemon that derive energy off non-standard sources, and it probably stole one or multiple of those methods, either genetically or through its helmet.

It may even be self-sustaining.

It may be the opposite: it could have an extreme version of normalize that normalizes the types and moves of every pokemon present. That type of an ability would probably be reserved for a legendary though.

I can totally see it. Type:Null looks just like someone tried to describe Arceus to someone who never saw one before. "It's tail is shaped like a reptile's, the head looks like an axe or a hammer and there's this weird cross-like thing around its neck."

why are people thinking Gladion is a rival.

He's around the same age as the protagonists and seems to be set up to challenge the player multiple times through the story due to his role as an "enforcer". The traditional secondary beginner trainer doesn't seem to take a rival role at all either. I don't think he'll be a "Pokemon" rival in the sense of picking a starter that's strong against the trainer's Pokemon, but he seems to be the closest thing to a "rival" type character in the game.

Arceus has a smooth, pointed, yellow double circle ring around his torso with green in the middle.

Type: Null has a wooden cross shaped spikes coming out of a ring attached to his neck and helmet with green in the middle.

I see what people are saying and im saying its really not that similar.. I guess if the two outer spikes connected to each other it would be pretty spot on but the way it is now, the fact that its protrusions with green in the middle make it a little too vague for me to agree that they are definitely visually connected. Could be a coincidence.

I CAN see it though. I can totally see arceus being related too in some sort of way, given its name and some relation to multitype. I think the rings dont really look similar. There are also people trying to pinpoint the body parts to certain pokemon which I also disagree with. I basically think the same thing as ballad, its not meant to actually look like anything, just sort of harken in a way

But yeah I totally can see what youre talking about

I really like the concept of Type: Null. From its name, to its appearance. I just think that given its plain, normal type, they could have been a bit more creative with its ability, especially considering so many of the new pokemons seem to have unique abilities in S&M.

Which would you guys say is the better games to prepare for this? X/Y or the Ruby/Sapphire remakes? Or is it better to just wait?

Oh wow I just realized Aether is an "element" as well. I'm dumb lol.

The whole alchemy spin on the plot is pretty interesting.

If this game had voice acting I know who would've been an option...

Both are great games and I'd recommend getting either now just because they're super fun. XY is super beginner friendly and features many "classic" Pokemon that you're likely to recognize. I also think the map is a bit more interesting than OR/AS'; I put around 120 hours into that game and it pretty much singlehandedly brought me back into the franchise after ignoring most of gen IV and V.

OR/AS on the other hand has some cool QoL improvements over XY; the Pokenav makes it super easy to hunt and catch Pokemon (I'm crossing my fingers that it'll make a comeback in Sun/Moon), find trainer rematches, it has a a pretty decent post-game sidequest and it's generally friendlier for post-game breeding, IMO. I do think it's a bit shorter and the map encourages some awkward backtracking though - nothing major.

You really can't go wrong no matter what game you choose.

post above me nails it, both are great, ORAS has nice improvements and is definitely the one to be playing after you beat it, theres like 30 legendaries to catch lol, 2 daycares, and a better postgame region overall. XY though is a little fresher of an experience, has a better map, but its story sucks.

honestly though at this point i would wait. itll make sun/moon that much more fun. XY made ORAS less fresh

For those still clinging to the Alola Arcanine BS rumour, Famitsu has finally shot it down.

In its article, it showed all the previous Pokémon (including Arcanine) listed on the official site with this paragraph

The Alola Region, in addition to the newly discovered Pokémon and Alolan Forms, is also home to many [familiar] Pokémon. A selection of these are introduced below. This line up will be familiar to fans, but pay attention to the refreshed Pokedex entries. You may find some shocking facts are revealed!

Aww, that's a bummer. As an Arcanine fan I was excited about the possibilities. Mega evolution for the D/P remakes it is then.

I also forgot to say how friccin rad the Pokemon Snap mode is. I only hope it isn't very limited :/

Well, I'm not going to call it Pokemon Snap yet because there may not be any grading system because it would be awesome if I could take a lot of pictures at certain locations, then bring the pictures to Photographer Master, and having them grade my pictures.

I need to know more about this feature.

The Miyamoto account actually does still popular tweets and makes it his own. That account has even stolen Nibels jokes, his gifs and so on though he has the Miyamoto account blocked.

Fake edit: Basically any joke or image that comes from that account is always stolen from someone elses viral tweet..

I have seen it happens before. My friend made a meme and that twitter account practically stole it and post it as his own.

I really look forward to the new meta considering not all mega stones might be available nor all Pokémons with their HA. Unless they remove the Pentagon restriction in tournaments the changes will be huge.

Ahh, Arceus, or some say Arkeus... Do you hear our prayers?

No, we shall not abandon the Dream World.

No one can catch us all! No one can stop us now!

Ah hah hah ha ha! Ooh! Mega! A Trainer is a Trainer, even in a contest. But, alas, not too fast! The frontier swirls and churns unending.

As you once did for the vacuous Kyurem, grant us Ice-types, grant us Ice-types. Buff Ice-types in our games, to cleanse our beastly idiocy.

The grand lake of acuity, hidden now, from sight.

The Clefairy, of course!

Now I've used the Poke Flute, I'll forget everything...
Yes... YES

damn, of course.

fire type starter AND ninetales AND arcanine on a team together would have been too good

I figured that rumor was bogus since we've already seen Arcanine in S/M footage, but it's a shame because that definitively would've been my go-to water type. I don't think I've seen a water guy yet that I'm interested in partying up with.

Does anyone still think synchro (aka the bond phenomenon) will still be a thing? Time is running out for them to reveal it.

I don't know why version exclusives even exist anymore when the GTS exists. It shouldn't affect what game you want to buy anymore.

to use those pokemon on your playthrough lol

hey i actually thought maybe version exclusives dont exist in sum/moon, and the only difference is the day/night so people encounter different pokemon
