Main server, just start adding people's names. I'm HeebyGB.
Gotcha, is that woogerworks?

KeruShiri on Cockatrice, btw

Man, played against a Temur Aetherworks deck that could side in or out of a RG energy aggro deck. I think that's a hell of a lot more difficult to beat than straight combo city.

Reprint Disenchant

I find it funny Naturalize is the green version of Disenchant that still sees print but destroying artifacts and destroying enchantments are still both in white's color pie - Fragmentize is still a Disenchant effect.

I had a HeebyGB counters limited deck with 2 Durable Handicraft and 3 Hazardous Conditions alongside Syndicate Trafficker and Marionette Master. All my creatures cared about artifacts or counters and I even had a Hunt the Weak.

My opponent plays double Smugglers' Copter.

Is it just me or is Peema Outrider just an absolutely great common? Trample is awesome, 4/4 or a 3/3 and a 1/1 for 4 is awesome, it even has some minor artificer synergy.

Limited Resources 355 – Kaladesh Set Review: Commons and Uncommons

LR Cast earlier than usual! Almost 5 hours of Marshall and LSV going through all the commons and uncommons of the set.

It is a crazy good common, the overall power of commons and uncommons seems way higher than recent sets.

If anything about this set gives me Innistrad vibes its that a lot of the cards look like they fit in somewhere. Not everything (I'm unsure what deck is chomping at the bit to open a Fireforgers Puzzleknot) but my mind already races with intersecting strategies availible in Limited. Between Energy and the way various other strategies interact with Fabricate, plus the Vehicles subtheme, there's going to be a lot of decks you can go for

Bant Midrange could really become a thing. It gives you the most tools to deal with all the degenerate decks all the while having the best CA and the ballers Nissa.

I've not -3'd her once during testing. Just +1 and smash.
I drafted a deck that had both the roc and the angel of invention but I won before I got to play either :-(
What a horrible problem to have haha

I find it funny that people keep comparing Cataclysmic Gearhulk to Tragic Arrogance instead of Cataclysm.

Why wouldn't they compare it to a similar card that has been in Standard, instead of the old card it is (mostly) based on? Heck, I don't even remember which set Cataclysm was in.

Edit:
Tempest.

Nah it was Exodus.

Mostly its funny because its named after Cataclysm.

For Shadows / Eldritch Moon limited, is it crazy to not run Angelic Purge in a B/W controlly deck? I have 3 Murderous Compulsion, 1 Sinister Concoction, and 1 Murder in my deck. 1 Silverstrike and 1 Angelic Purge in my board.

Should I probably be running the Purge instead of the Concoction?

(It was 2 packs of Shadows, 1 of Eldritch Moon, so it's kinda weird)

Or just cut my two Rabid Rats and put in both?

Might join you guys on cockatrice for some standard games. Warning, I'll be testing that UR thermo deck that someone here said is bad :p

You should definitely always play angelic purge.

Yes. Exile matters. It can also get rid of enchantments in a whim.

Tragically Arrogant Gearhulk would have been the better name.

The problem is that the Tragic Arrogance's effect is far better than Cataclysm's effect, so its a bit misleading.

HK-47

Oh, bitch bitch bitch.
lol Cataclysm is a much better card. Taking out lands instead of planeswalkers is so much more devastating. Also costs 1 less. Thats also why the gearhulk is much closer to Arrogance than Cataclysm despite the name.

I'd argue that you picking over them picking is a bigger deal than lands vs. planeswalkers a lot of the time.

It's more likely that fewer players are familiar with Cataclysm than are with Tragic Arrogance. The former, short of From The Vault a couple years ago, hasn't ever been reprinted and is 18 years old. The latter is still in standard and was just printed about 18 months ago.

I just mean the order of picking, sorry.

What's the tl;dr version of whatever MTGHEADQUARTERS did? I keep reading about how Wizards is distancing themselves from the site/channel and I watched a Boogie video on YT where he is defending the person who runs the channel.
Now I'm seeing it bleed over into Magic Facebook groups...

I don't follow his stuff, I never cared for him to be honest but it's been so long I don't really remember specifically why.
He's said some transphobic stuff in the past on Twitter and just recently he got sent Kaladesh preview cards he wasn't supposed to have. Obviously he made a video about them but trick stated it was an error and mtghq took it as an offense that they weren't wanted for spoiler season (being a huge boost to views for content creators)

In addition to above posts he posts about how much he dislikes Wedge on MTGHQ plus many other MTG YouTubers, weird tweets about cucks, alphas and betas, and I think something about supporting Trump?

one other thing, I noticed that Aether Tradewinds can target lands. Is this relevant? I mean, combined with the 2 mana cantrip artifacts that could be somewhat useful for pushing your opponent a turn back

Especially if you drop a deck's ETB tapped land back into their hand. That's brutal.

On the mtghq thing, iirc desolator magic made a transphobic remark on twitter (something about identifying as a planeswalker) and mtghq replied saying something about peeing into the aether. That comment was what got him in trouble. It was an overreaction, imo

I was testing the grixis version yesterday and some guy thought he had me on the ropes and said "UR therm is dead", then i won.
