Valkyrie Drive Bhikkhuni Vita Confirmed for NA/EU Published by PQube.

Well not exactly. Back when that PV was released they were twins, but as the project moved on the became "mere" siblings, Rinka is a year older than Ranka.
Ok, didn't know of the change, either way I bet the localization would've changed it if they stayed twins on the Japanese release.

Not with PQube on localization it wouldn't
Yeah, PQube doesn't really care what the original context is or not, they localize everything as it should be: entirely intact from the Japenese release. It's refreshing really, I wish more localization companies would do that.

I'm sad to hear of the delay (just received my email from Rice Digital this morning), but I can wait. I'm just thankful that I'll (eventually) be able to play a non-butchered version of this game. Thank you, PQube.

With XSEED new approach towards PC ports and being part of Marvelous and all, I wonder if the odds of Bhikkhuni being ported to PC have increased.

The text is localized af, honestly.

Honestly? After the success that Xseed had with the Ys series, I'm surprised that it took this long for Marvelous to notice. That said, after Shinovi Versus' success on PC, I would be surprised if Valkyrie Drive doesn't show up there at some point.

what do you mean?

Just the usual adding "flavor" to banal dialogue seen in niche japanese games localizations (See: Senran Kagura). For instance, the line "These girls have no chill" probably didn't have anything resembling such a recent and trendy colloquialism in the source text.

Yeah, I've seen a lot of games with lines like that which were originally written in an incredibly dull and generic fashion in Japanese. (To the point where I wonder if it had been churned out from a factory.) I guess I don't blame them for trying to spice it up and differentiate it a bit.

Amazon shows the butt version of the cover again.

Would really surprise me if they got that through ESRB. Fingers crossed.
Yeah, they usually have a limit on what you're allowed to put on the box art, but maybe because it's rated M, there's not as much restriction as compared to T-rated games, like what happened with BlazBlue & Guilty Gear.

...Someone also brought up the point that Oneechanbara Z2 Chaos had a bit of a skimpy box art & that was rated M.

Or maybe it's a reverse cover situation??

Yeah, the anime series is.....waaaaaaaaay more pervy than the game, let alone SK.

...I also don't recall hearing a good amount of things about it. Doesn't help it doesn't even focus on the characters from the game, though I recall they made the anime main characters as DLC later on.

Oi, they put Half Minute Hero on steam and also localized the second one exclusively on the platform. Whoever handled that, great job. It's a bit confusing since XSEED is Marvelous USA.

Yeah I think this is something that isn't always appreciated enough. Nobody really wants a literal and untouched localisation.

PQube has just announced Gal Gun's port to Steam. I'm guessing this has significantly raised the odds of Bhikkhuni coming to PC as well.

Well Gal Gun is Inti and VDrive is Marvelous/Xseed so I imagine to an extent it will be down to them rather than PQube.

EU release date is September 30th right?
Because Amazon germany now says the release is October 7th.

Hope it is still September 30th, because i need new ps vita love, as soon as possible.

It is for EU generally, but the amazon Germany release is special since it wasn't rated in Germany and they're selling the PEGI version. It has been Oct 7th there for a while

Ah ok, i did not know they had that october date for a while. I ordered elsewhere, at gameware.at

So September 30th is still the official EU release, right?
And yeah, i know about the circumstances on the german release (or non release).

Yup nothing has officially changed and even in the past it wasn't uncommon for Germany to get PQube games a week or two later. I think the distributor is just a bit slow.

Rice has started shipping but... 21 Euros and they send it by DPD???
Estimated day of arrival, October 4. 7 days for delivery after paying premium price, I get stuff faster when its shipped by Royal Mail First Class (4 days, including weekends...).

High quality sound files DLC?
How does the game sound without the dlc?

Dunno, but the Japanese version has a huge ass day one update patch (not DLC) that supposedly included audio files (which was the bulk of the update + some) so it was "mandatory" in the JP version.

It's really sad when one of the shit holding back the Vita at late life is something as mundane as the low limit of Vita Game Carts (4GB).

Either ways, it looks like the english version is fixed up better than the JP one.

Can't wait. Although, question. Those in NA that order from Rice, do they usually use FedEx and/or TNT for shipping? I FINALLY got Gal Gun Mr. Happiness last week no thanks to some shipping tag with those two shipping companies (because they don't ship to P.O Boxes and delivering while at work). I don't remember having that much trouble with Senran Kagura Burst: Life and Hometown Edition last Christmas. :/

Does the US get any kind of LE or do we just get the standard one on Amazon?

I have all the Senran LEs that came with the little figures, as well as the US LE of Estival Versus, so I'd love to be able to add a nice LE for this to my shelf if it's not something that will cost me and arm and a leg to import.

Is the game any fun? I need a reason to dust of the old vita. I have not used it since persona and y's.

If you like action games in the vein of DMC or Ninja Gaiden then yeah, is tons of fun

Sadly, just the standard edition on Amazon or Rice's Liberator Edition.
