Awesome. I always wanted to play this. When it came out, all I had was a PS3, and I had bought it fairly confident I wouldn't miss any jrpgs haha. Just grabbed it off game for £2.99, bargain.

Damn, my Xbox has had a disc read error for a long time (makes that clicking noise) but I never bothered to get it fixed since I'm all digital AND I've been waiting for this game digitally ever since BC was a thing...

I still have the physical disks in storage but that does me no good with a broken drive ☹ .

Okay, I feel a bit stupid, I disabled the 'play automatically' option in the Disc menu and I was worried that the thing went kaput or something. I just enabled it, put the disc back in again and now it's installing, haha.

i think the BC works like it's checking the physical disc in drive and then playing off the HDD with the emulated copy just like with all physical games that get installed. So I think you need all the discs.

Do you live in USA? There's a GameStop at every shopping mall and I haven't yet found a GameStop that does not have Lost Odyssey

Thank you to whoever on the backwards compatibility team made Lost Odyssey possible ;__;

I'll def mess around with it today, but I might have to do a serious replay of the game sometime on the One.

Keep the Japanese games on BC coming.

Holy shit this is a nice surprise. Gonna start a replay immediately. Really hope MS makes it available digitally as well, I'd absolutely double dip.

I have so many RPGs to play and don't even have much time, but I'm already thinking about buying an Xbox One just to replay this one with a better framerate and a quiet console.

I'd prefer a remaster collection of Mistwalker titles someday, since all of them would be perfect with a framerate (and resolution, for The Last Story) upgrade, but that's not about to happen any time soon, especially since Sakaguchi doesn't like ports.

It's going to take a while for me to download it... But yeah, I'll check out if I get the version I own, or if it's just the PAL/US version.

If anyone is wondering why I care about the Korean voices, it's because while Jansen has amazing (ad-lib) dialogue, the rest were meh at best. Japanese voices were terrible and not lip-synced, while the Korean voices are quality.

I always wanted to do a second playthrough in them.

Also note, if you guys want all the achievements, there are literally only 2 missables in the game and its due a bug (you're likely not to miss them), and it takes about 110 hours if you also do the DLC.

Speaking of which, is the DLC in this?

I have the version with japanese or English voices, hoping someone can confirm that it works with this asian version since my xbox is not with me.

If it's the English Language Version (with a but of Mandarin on the box) that's the one I'm talking about. The box was better (no paper sleeve). AFAIK all other versions have both English and Japanese voices, with PAL having French etc. but the JP version isn't region free and doesn't have English text (but does have English voices).

Pfft. Toy Story 3 is the bigger news here. Fantastic game with an amazing sandbox mode.
