So what's a good way to record 4k footage?
Hmm. share function will be updated to support 1080p video recording. I hoped they would allow 4K recording or streaming too but that would be very ressource intensive I presume.
Man, I don't know... 4K recording would fill your HDD with blast speed. At least at a good quality.
Will TLoU have upscalled 60fps mode for 4k?
Do you have to wait for the 4k versions to come out on disc or will old discs for those on the list work just fine?
We will see what method it will use for 60fps mode. Will TLoU have upscalled 60fps mode for 4k?
Wait what? TLOU and Skyrim native 4k? My interest went up a little.
Wow, I love that Cod shifts to 4K for screenshots, that feature needs to be implemented in all games. Could that even be a system level thing? Probably not.
I hope they patch in 4k support for Resogun... Imagine!!
Can you take 4k screenshots though?
+1 for Resogun Pro.

- COD Infinite Warfare shifts to native 4K when you stand still which is great for taking screenshots.
Will TLOU be available at launch?
Will TLoU have upscaled 60fps mode for 4k?
So they have implemented dynamic scaling or what? Please can you point to the source for this. Thanks.
Thanks!
The fact that when you don't move the reconstruction is perfect 4K shouldn't be a feature of checkerboard rendering in general?
If the image is static you can perfectly reconstruct a 4K image from two checkerboarded fields?
Can someone confirm if playing upscaled 4k image on 1080p will give me a free AA due to downsampling? Im considering bying this alone to get rid of FFXV jaggies ( which is horrible on vanilla PS4 ).
Great idea putting this in one thread, thanks op.
It would be really cool if someone could do the same for patched games nearer the time as well so us poor 1080p people know where to put our money.
I hope they patch in 4k support for Resogun... Imagine!!
I don't know about TLOU:R at 30fps. It felt so weird when in 30fps on PS4. It felt worse than 30fps of the PS3 version.
You are welcome.
I don't know how checkerboard is dealt with in every game but Digital Foundry praised this method in Infinite Warfare since it allowed native 4K when static. Who knows how checkerboard is used in other games. It may be the same method and it may be not.
Skyrim Remastered at native 4K alone justifies my Pro purchase to me, will definitely give The Last of Us a whirl too, and probably end up replaying it in its entirety for the umpteenth time.
TLOU 30fps is a bummer, is there going to be a "non-native" 4K 60fps option?
Rez Infinite will only display in 4K when played on TV, right?
The PSVR headset screens are 1080P, right?
Yep. Read my post above.
Yep.
Rocket League seems like a prime candidate for this, unless 4k60 isn't possible.
I think that's just the case with checkerboard rendering.
Thanks.
I keep forgetting that Rez is also playable without VR. Now that I know it will have native 4K I went ahead and preordered it.
For some reason the EU preorder doesn't charge you immediately, like the rest of the games. So if anyone wants a PS4 bonus theme, here's the link: https://store.playstation.com/#!/pt...ndle/cid=EP0748-CUSA06338_00-REZINFINIBUNDLE1
I still don't understand if it's worth upgrading having a standard 1080p tv without HDR or not. Anyone can help me realizing if the investment is worth?
If your asking whether or not the resolution difference will matter even if you have a 1080p TV, definitely. Running 4K games on a 1080p screen will do more to give you a cleaner image than any console viable anti aliasing could ever do at native 1080p

I see that this thread was useful then. Congrats.
