Zelnick said they wanted to do a similar release to Fallout 4 so we might see this sooner than expected.

Oh it will be I was just having some fun. lol

Spring 2017 with May at the latest would be my bet? They've been working on this since 2012 and starting to fill more positions within the company and moving people off of GTAO to suggest they're getting towards some of the final stages.

Well, Take-Two's CEO did spend ten interviews and three fiscal calls talking about how multiple protagonists were the future and no one who didn't have them was going to be able to compete.

yeah its probably going to be a multiple protagonist system, as much as i think i would prefer Single protag for red dead, Take-Two has been talking about this ever since V came out as the future of gaming

I would have lost it three or four years back over HL3. I'll still be very excited and intrigued, and will definitely play it, but time and interest has waned a little on the property for me, at least in terms of a new entry. The games are still classics and I love them, though! I'm happy enough to replay those.

The rumors of a new Red Dead have been swimming around for ages and kept my interest, true or not. I think it's the quietness of Half-Life versus the rumblings of Red Dead.

Better yet, no set-protag and instead if works more like an rpg where you can make different ones yourself, with different backgrounds (like being a Native American) which in turn influence how people treat you and the story that plays out changes both depending on what type of character you make and choices you make throughout the game.

I have no problem with the 3 protagonist system from GTA V. wonder if they'll each have a unique "power".

Trevor's OP invincibility/slow down must live onnnnn

and then at the end of the game, all 3 of them have a duel and you have to choose which character you want to pick at the end

Yeah no, Rockstar games always have set protagonists and thats good. Not everything has to be create-your-own.

Sounds absolutely nothing like a game Rockstar would make, at least for the single player. They're story-heavy.

With how the racing genre is going, it's going to be hard to see anyone who isn't trying to pick up smaller audiences with first party titles making a major racing game in general.
