I kind of remember the Wii U not selling out, but did the 3DS sell out during launch? Was it hard to find?

I stood in line for both, but only for a couple of hours. They both sold out on day one, but that's just at one random store. Plus the lines were pretty short. amiibo lines were longer at the height of that craze!
