Found the trailer disappointing, especially in comparison to the Switch trailer we got earlier (though that could be my Nintendo bias showing). Still excited nonetheless, I mean it's Rockstar I have no doubt they will deliver.

You know Rockstar doesn't really bs when it comes to visuals. This was all in-game. RDR2 now the kind of visuals and impressive games. Not surprised considering GTA V was probably my first pick before seeing this trailer.

Rockstar doesn't come to E3. The next time and the last time you see footage for this game, it will be on R*'s website or their official Youtube channel.

Well the GTA V PS4 version trailer was at E3. I don't expect Rockstar to show though.

This reminded me a lot of the the first reveal trailer for Grand Theft Auto V. Looks wonderful. I think people were getting hyped for a story trailer when this was just going to be a Rockstar first reveal.
Yeah - definitely less of a spaghetti western tone.
I was actually speaking more in terms of aesthetic than the tone of the story though. The first game was mostly deserts and canyons given the Texas/Mecico setting. This on the other hand looks decidedly more centralized... Plains, mountains, woods with coniferous trees... That's mainly what I meant by the Skyrim bit (in certain shots) - and Deadwood as well, which took place in a more mountainous region than your typical western.

Bummed how short the trailer is. Looks great, especially that night shot with the stars.
Also it's tough to gauge a lot about the setting. You don't see any open water, lakes, or oceans at least. interesed in some shot by shot breakdowns in high res. Only thing I'd guess is that it suggests an earlier time period than RDR, maybe by a couple decades. You don't see any of the encroaching technology that RDR dropped into its trailers, and the coal-fired steam engine looks older, but I don't know much about that.

Would it kill Rockstar to be a little more transparent? Is it coming to PC or not? What do you lose? Maybe 10K sales from those that would wait compared to the millions that would buy it for their PC anyway...

Probably because there wasn't much in the trailer. We have a teaser vs an entire system reveal. Not really comparable.

They said coming to PS4 and XboxOne. I've never seen any announcement where they said coming to PS4 and XboxOne, not PC. So I think it's pretty safe to assume a PC version won't be launched with the console versions.
