Some of these racist old people need to die already.

Silver lining is thanks to cellphones and social media all these racists can be exposed and defamed.

And we will all continue to do so.

Is there a trend of junior members being Trump supports or 'just asking questions' lately? Because it seems that way.

Yeah there's definitely been an increase

NeoGAF should make it even harder for people like them to sign up.

Man, it really just hit me. It's not like this shit never happened before but man....if you are bummed out by news like this, the next four years are not gonna be fun.....

He said it so anemically, and in such unpersuasive fashion, that you could almost see him wink with approval and condonation.

Like you, I'm very much anti-Trump. However, I don't think he meant anything other than what he said. It seemed genuine, as far as I could tell.

Not a trump supporter. Stated that above.

My whole issue with this article is that it accentuates the fact that the old man was a trump supporter. I feel like this only feeds into the divisiveness that his country is experiencing right now. I don't want facts to be censored but I feel like their would have been a better way to report the story. Don't know that magical solution is however

You know what? Being a Trump support either makes you a racist, misogynist, xenophobe or it makes you an accomplice to those ideas.

I'll take a divided nation over normalizing that garbage any day.

Yet another example of the disrespect my people get on a daily basis. All it takes is the word from a White man to destroy any credibility we have.

Listen man, we just have to reach out and love these folks and understand where they come from while we hope and pray they start to understand that hating us is wrong.

Yeah, agreed.

Not going to get along with people who are in support of a racist / misogynist / xenophobe.

Shit like this boil my blood, wish I could've been there. Too bad this era does not have it's Martin Luther King or Malcolm X, preferably the latter. Seems minorities have no charismatic leaders willing to make a stand.

The thing feeding into the divisiveness is the trump supporters going around with there "validated" racism. I'm not saying all Trump supporters are racist, but clearly for trump supporters racism wasn't a deal breaker. And that says a lot. So instead of trying to blame an article for stating a clear fact, a Trump supporter, like many many others, doing some racist shit, how about you put some pressure and blame on the racist mfs.

And even if he is that old he's wrong. I can't say for sure about the US military which was probably still segregated then but my great-grandfather was in the Royal Army and served in WWI so I'm sure that England had soldiers of African descent fighting in WWII as well. Unless he's so racist that he doesn't count allied soldiers either.

For the record, there has never been an American war in which black soldiers did not participate.

Yet another example of the disrespect my people get on a daily basis. All it takes is the word from a White man to destroy any credibility we have.

Indeed.

Get out of here! How do you figure that should not be reported on? If the guy was proud enough to wear Trump shirt and then makes a statement like that it is absolutely relevant. The divisiveness is here, ignoring it will change nothing. In fact ignoring it makes it worse.

Well two possitive things, looks like the vet is getting support which is wonderful.

As for the racist old vet, his reputation among normal people has been made public and has been ruined as he is probably nearing his age of passing, the ironic cherry on top being that he probably is not smart enough to realize how disgraceful that is.

Fuck that. Call a deplorable a deplorable and put the divisiveness exactly where it belongs - squarely on these assholes. Fuck their racist feelings.

What's the racist old vet's name?

This shit need to stop. It's entirely possible to support Trump and be none of those things. Sam Harris tackled the issue of the people who voted for Trump in his podcast last week. It's a good listen. Go seek it out and rethink you're assertion.

Stop blaming the other half of the electorate. Be mad at the DNC for fielding a terrible candidate and washing Bernie out of the race. Some people are just sick of corrupt career politicians that have been on the take for years and wanted something different. People couldn't vote for Bernie so they voted for Trump. They don't have to agree with all of his proclamations. Many people voted for Hillary in spite of her flaws, and the same is true for Trump voters.

That the guy in this story is a Trump supporter is irrelevant. He didn't invoke or quote Trump. Trump has almost certainly never met him. He's a racist. Are all racist acts that take place this week are tied intrinsicly to Donald Trump? What about those 5 years ago? This would have happened irrespective of the election result because the guy is a racist and saw an opportunity to practice his racism. We see this kind of abhorrent behaviour all the time.

If you want to tackle the issue of racism seriously and if you want to make any progress on the issue at all in the next 4 years you shouldn't be alienating Trump voters.

That's how I feel .. Their laying with their "base" so you get all their baggage.

Take your whole candidate and all the shit that he represents.

Pure unmitigated bollocks.

If your "economic anxiety" allows you to whitewash away the values that Trump campaigned on, then at best - at the absolute best - you're cosigning that shit. You're okay with it.

That makes you an accomplice. No different than Obama and his drone attacks, since that's a talking point these people like to use as a smokescreen.

Agreed. Not all Trump supporters are racists. But if you're a racist in the US you're most likely a Trump supporter.

No fuck Trump voters, even if some of them are not racists, even if some of them merely voted for him for certain issues, say economical, they still voted into office a massive racist and misogynist and by doing so they empowered every racist group in America from KKK to the neo nazi skin heads to right wing white militias. Shit like this happened because Trump got into power, they feel emboldened, I wouldn't be surprised when the day comes where Mosques and Black churches getting burned becomes a norm.

Racist idiots voting for Trump I can understand, but someone who voted into office someone like Trump, single issue voters, are shameful people, they might as well share the blame.

An accomplice to what? He isn't in office yet and nobody (likely even Trump) knows what he will actually do yet.

Clinton called black males "super predators". Do you think all of her voters are aligned with that way of thinking?

A small taste of what was meant by "taking [their] country back."

Lol. There was quite a bit of context that went along with her saying that, as well as explaining that it was also important to look into the economic causes that led to young teens committing violent acts and being recidivist.

ON TOP OF THAT, she apologized. Not for a misunderstanding, not for it being misconstrued.. she apologized for even saying it. So miss me with trying to draw that parallel.

So what is my best substitute to never eat at Chili's again? I mean, especially when they lied about actually reaching out and apologizing to the guy.

Oh, well that's comforting. Of course it's true but it's always good to get confirmation. The leader of the world's sole superpower has no idea what he is going to do. Great choice made there.

Clinton called black males "super predators". Do you think all of her voters are aligned with that way of thinking?

She did so 20 years ago and has since publicly apologized, has had numerous dialogs with Black Lives Matter, and hasn't attempted to incite anti-black violence nor proposed any policies that would be harmful to minorities. Trump hasn't even apologized for the full page ad he put out for the suspected black Central Park rapists, who were later exonerated. They're not comparable

Anywhere else?

You really gonna sit at your keyboard and pretend this motherfucker ain't say the shit he's been saying/done that got the ball rolling with all these concerns?

-All Mexicans are drug dealers
-Mexican judge lacks impartiality
-Refusing to rent to Blacks
-Tried to pretend he ain't know who David Duke is
-Questioning the citizenship of the first Black president (gee, I fucking wonder why...)
-Condones beating people at his rallies.
-Build a wall to "keep Mexicans out"

But we supposed to just kinda ignore all that?

Clinton called black males "super predators". Do you think all of her voters are aligned with that way of thinking?

And? Clinton saying racist shit don't absolve Trump. The fuck you trying to prove? Back to the topic at hand: If you don't believe Trump's rhetoric and his embrace of the alt-right isn't fueling bigots in America you're blind and full of shit. Point blank playa.

Ain't no reason for that old racist fuck to get involved. But he smile and greets the vet, tries to ask a trick question about which group he served with that didn't work, pets his fucking dog then runs off to a manager and tries to get him kicked out. All the while claimed Black folk ain't serve in Germany... too many mixed German girls to even question that dumb shit.

Anywhere else?

The super predators remark is not great but often taken out of context. She did not refer to all black males as super predators and she was referring to gang members during a time of the crime scare. She was in fact trying to speak to inner city communities for support since they were the biggest victims of that gang violence.

All the people saying this remember that Chili's is part of the Brinker International group which also operates Maggiano's and holds a minority stake in Romano's Macaroni Grill. So if you are serious about boycotting the people most likely making the decision about this managers future don't forget to include the other restaurants they own as well!

True, there's also this to consider, but the point was that she's long since taken responsibility for it and not just in her words, but her actions as well. Trump has done nothing

Anyone know the list of everything. I just assume they the same as Applebees lol.

When Paul Ryan destroys Medicare and all these old people suddenly can't afford their medications and die I won't even care enough about them to laugh about it.

I will care. Cause when they take L's they take it out on Black people. White supremacy's greatest feature to keep those poor-aint-got-shit mofo's from turning against the elites is: "At least I am not a Black"

The others aren't in Canada.

Man, shitty manager is easy, fire the guy.

Going to the news and lying about dealing with it and apologizing to the other guy? Now you're just scummy.

I think to combat the alt-right we might have to create a neo-Communist alt-left. If we can stop people from having this "At-least-I'm-not-black" reaction the alt-right is finished.
