Isn't UbiArt Engine a 2d engine though?

Who said this isn't a 2D game? But holy shit now I'm actually kinda hype, every UbiArt engine has had wonderful art, we might be seein some real good 2D Mario RPG goodness from Ubisoft of all devs.

Not really seeing the game having a good result at this point and honestly I've lost faith in Mario RPGs after the last two Paper ones.

Also, quite a bunch of mario games just for the launch window.

That's your fault for not playing the superior Mario & Luigi series. :V

Well, if it means a possible Rayman cameo, I'm not gonna throw out the baby with the bathwater. This could actually be pretty good.

If it's developed by Ubisoft and Nintendo, I doubt it will be shovelware.
I think it's Ubi way to make Raving Rabbids relevant again, so they surely don't want to screw that.

Mario RPG is now a low tier IP for Nintendo. Rabbids is a low tier IP for Ubisoft. We're not getting quality here I think.

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free
No game footage, meh, leaks like this are worse than CGI announcement trailer

..how often do you get First Nintendo trailer leaks 2 months before the unveiling ? Talk about unrealistic expectations for a Leak.

Yeah, wouldnt mind that even though its unlikely. Maybe 2.5D.

The rabbids are a product of 10 years ago. They were funny and unique, had some meta humor. Nowadays their type of humor is stale and overdone (thanks, Minions). They either need a good overhaul, or they should stay locked up in Ubi's basement.

I wouldnt be surprised its a better game than the last two paper marios, and I say this as someone who is meh on ths rabbids, but if theu go all out with the crazy it could be funny as hell.
At least the rabbids are better than the fucking minions.

Honestly not expecting this to be anything other than absolute trash.

You really think Nintendo would be ok with their characters being in an absolute trash video game that they didn't make themsevles? Besides, it's in Ubisoft's best interest to make a good game and make the Rabbids more popular again. They have established a TV series and everything nowadays.

Ok

As long as it's a REAL Mario RPG, I'm down. It's a shame Sqeenix won't be developing this one but if it is Nintendo developed and has partners and a party and real RPG mechanics then I'm ok board, Rabbids or not.

On one hand the UbiArt engine is spectacular, on the other hand Rabbids in 2d? Meh.

A turn based RPG for this game sounds good. Hopefully this game will deliver if it really exists.

I don't get Ubisoft's fetish on rabbids though. They could have just go straight using Rayman but instead they chose rabbids.

Why would it be trash? Ubisoft is good at making RPG's and Nintendo is overwatching them for Mario.

Yeah I liked Child of Light a lot, with Nintendo supervision this could turn out to be excellent.

Why not both? If the Rabbids are supposed to be invading the game-world, they could be 3D while everything else is UbiArt 2D

My most vivid memory of Rabbids is a commercial which aired years ago for a Wii game with the tagline "FEATURING THE FIRST GAME YOU CAN PLAY WITH YOUR BUM!"

Rabbids, man.

Where you one of the people complaining how there weren't enough new games for Switch?

because rabbids are trash tier ip
And Mario is a great IP. Looks like we meet in the middle for a good game. Nintendo is overlooking it. Ubisoft is good at RPG's.

Wonder if the Rayman trophy in Smash Bros for Wii U was a bit of a hint for this Ubisoft / Nintendo partnership. Either way, I'm definitely interested.

One can still hope that the rabbids are just the antagonist and that Rayman is still in as a major party member. Or heck, even a party member at all.

I love Mario and i love Mario Rpg, also i like Rabbits games and the Child of Light game, plus that engine is pretty neat..... 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 humm

Seems like it's supposed to replace the Paper Mario RPGs of old. With no Intelligent Systems involvement, I'm rather skeptical, I have to say. Does Ubisoft even have an experience with this kind of game? Which team is making the game anyway?

I need to try this game before I buy it.

Huh, Certainly didn´t expect that lol. But might be pretty cool.

3D Mario and a Mario-Rabbids RPG Crossover for launch. Sounds good to me.

Yeah, good new games. Interesting new games. It's an easy shortcut to just say "here people, you complained, here are new games !"

You haven't even seen this game yet. You know nothing about it except that it contains Rabbids, Mario characters and it's a turn based RPG. Don't jump to a biased conclusion yet.

I don't know what to think, it sounds interesting I guess. My nephew would love it though. He loves mario and he loves rabbids.

Damn, people already writing the game off as trash before we see gameplay or screenshots.

Can y'all PM me that trailer so I can have a reason to hate too?

An actual modern turn based Mario RPG console game. As long as it has the same level of whimsy, adventure and world building of the the earlier Paper Mario and M&L titles, then I'm game for this.

I wonder if this is going to UniArt?

I would love if it is styled like the art used in 3D Land/World and some of the older Mario stuff.

With BG&E2 supposedly just having entered pre-production and this targeting a March release... Any chance this might be developed by Ubi Montpellier/Ancel? I don't think Montpellier was involved much with the Rabbids franchise after the release of the original game, but them being behind this would definitely be exciting.

Otherwise I can't really get my hopes up.
