Nintendo Switch running Breath of The Wild on Jimmy Fallon

Reminds me EXACTLY of a Nvidia Shield. Same form factor. Its gonna be a nice machine.

This post was written on my Nvidia Shield :)

I wonder what's the 2 holes on the back for?

Jimmy Fallon is hugely popular right? If so, this is a GENIUS move, double so for mentioning the date of the presentation, that has to be fantastic advertising there.

Fuck I didn't think it was going to be the real thing when they started showing it, but sure enough they did it.

Also kind of nice to see them not completely fuck up the messaging.

Wonder why Reggie didn't use the controller that was sitting right in front of the unit? he ends up grabbing a different controller from under the counter.

Watched it again—definitely cleaner. Draw distance seems noticeably clearer the grass doesn't suffer from that "shimmery" look of other gameplay we've seen.

But again, maybe I'm just seeing what I want.

Amazing stuff. And Fallon knows all about it too. He was gushing over Zelda, he was playing really well on Super Mario Run. This was a fantastic surprise reveal. Can't wait for the details on January 12 and the actual release in March!

Oh god the viewing angle on that screen looks terrible

Yeah I wouldn't expect anything special on the screen department. The one thing that does bother me is the rather large black border between the game screen and the sides of the devices. Whats up with that?

I can only guess, but like, since there were two joycons already paired with the Switch itself, the ones on the controller on the stand probably weren't paired with anything.

So far Nintendo has been knocking it out of the park in regards to Switch marketing. I want this thing so bad. January is gonna be lit.

Reggie was using the Switch pro controller. You can tell in part of the segment. Looks like USB-C port on top of the controller for charging.

The mystery square thing kind of looks like a piece of plastic covering a little circle thing. Maybe it's just hiding something and not the actual button or whatever.

That design is very slick and much thinner than I was expecting. I think if they hit $250 launch price and use cheap expandable media this thing will be a huge hit.

Probably old news, but I like the positing of the connections on the Switch dock. Good for where I intend to put it at least

That looked like the "Pro" controller, wasn't it?

Not sure, but another poster noticed that the side controllers were attached to the screen unit, so most likely like the other poster said the controller on the counter was not paired with the system.

I really don't game on the go, so I don't know if I would ever use the screen mode, but I still want this badly as a home console. Always loved the Nintendo magic, I doubt I would buy any multiplatform games on it, but Zelda along with a new Mario would be a dream to have.

edit: I am waiting for some anti-Nintendo person to come in and say they are false advertising the Switch, since the display they show has the controllers sides on the screen and they also show the controller in front of the main unit with the side controllers as well.
