I haven't picked up a pro yet. But is the pro UI faster than OG PS4?
Faster UI, better network card, plus generally faster loading times, even for unpatched games. All around snappier experience.

Sounds good. I've noticed that my old PS4's UI is considerably slower than when I first bought it. I guess I'll be picking up a pro with my Christmas bonus.Yes. It has an extra GB of RAM over the PS4 solely for the UI.

Lol nah, watch it with your girlfriend for brownie points and a good movie
I think even then that wouldn't be a great move. Announcing a new console gen would upset a bunch of people. Especially with the Slim launching this year.
I might do that some day, unless there are singing scenes. I can live without the brownie points, if that's the case.
was at best buy the other day and saw a shit ton of consoles on the floor. both slim/pro, and xbone. wonder if yoy is down
The lack of world wide appeal is due to the original, awful, xbox one idea. I wish the scorpio was an actual next generation. So we could get a clean cut.
If it was full backwards compatible it might not be so bad. The Scorpios specs seem like such a missed opportunity to have to be tied down to XB1's 1.31TFs.

Wat explains the world wide lack of appeal for the other xboxes?
But Sony only had the Unwanted 4 bundle against such fantastic Xbox deals!
PS4 Pro was a flop and UHD BR drives were supposed to be the must have items of the holiday season 2016.
Emmmm....LOL.
It's a Disney movie, so there's singing lol
They're still being outsold though?
A company winning the month where they released a new console is not really something of note tho.
UHD movies are not that big of a deal,
and besides the good movies aren't getting the UHD treatment any time soon.
360 did pretty well world wide.
Even the 360 failed to outsell the PS3 in Europe, so I don't know what the Scorpio could do to change that.

360 still lost but it did a lot better market share wise.Even the 360 failed to outsell the PS3 in Europe, so I don't know what the Scorpio could do to change that.
I can't believe people thought that a UHD Blu-Ray player held any kind of market sway.
The online shouting match that it's absence caused tried it's damnedest to make it sound important.

Did people around here really think the lack of a UHD blu-ray player would hurt Sony that much?

I believe ~60% of Xbox 360 sales were in North America and UK.
Xbox isn't a worldwide brand like Playstation.

Not yet. Have to see by how much they lost the regular season in their strongest territory first.Microsoft is done

Was cyber Monday in November still or December? If former, then I bought the Slim in November in preparation for playing TLG this holiday. It's obviously people buying it for The Last Guardian
Yes.
O ppl weren't joking to many threads were madeThey can't actually have believed it, I assume most were joking.
Isn't the 4k adoption rate for TVs like 1%?
Sony has marketing for RDR2? Thats news to me

Not sure if you're saying 40% isn't significant or the 40% sales were from MarsI believe ~60% of Xbox 360 sales were in North America and UK.

I would also take a guess that most of the people saying that, didn't even have one UHD bluray in their collection.Did people around here really think the lack of a UHD blu-ray player would hurt Sony that much?

The Xbox One definitely did additional damage to the Xbox brand in markets outside the US. Its marketing core was on the TV overlay, sports compliment programs (particularly American football), and other US-centric features. Didn't play well to an international consumer.
