Nice find lol, this whole situation is just weird as fuck. As someone who usually can't stand Fallon due to his fakeness and people pleasing attitude, seeing him having a genuine fanboy freakout was pretty cool.

I appreciate his enthusiasm for video games, but yeah, he's annoying as fuck otherwise. The only time I ever watch anything from his show is when an excerpt like this segment is posted online.

It looked like Reggie had to tap through a notification or two when he undocked the Switch before handing it to Fallon. It seems the docking/undocking process isn't as instant as the reveal trailer implied. I wonder if that pop up allows the system to downclock and adjust the game/system settings in the background?

Maybe they didn't want to show the OS UI yet to the public, or is a debug menu (the game is still in development after all and that unit is probably a prototype), or maybe the game automatically pauses just in case some enemy attacks you while you're undocking the Switch, and that prompt is just a "confirm to continue"...

I think he may be the worst late night host of all time, and that's better then what I think of the movies he has done. It's sad because I think The Roots on late night is an amazing idea. Then there's the issue of his comic "delivery", I just find it grating.

With saying all that the thing I really respect is that he is actually a fan of not just games but the medium itself.

It's maybe a cultural thing. Outside of the US, I haven't seen people be that over the top to show their enthusiasm. As a German, it always felt kinda fake to me.

BoTW was touted at the best game at e3 and voted most anticipated at the game awards despite only the 720p <30fps Wii U version being playable.
A version that looks better and runs smoother that is also portable is great.
Also BoTW looks pretty good at times. Maybe not that area, but grassy fields and forests look pretty nice.
