People forget NBC wants to be FOX. Morning Joe is still one of their highest rated shows and Scarborough is the biggest fucking Trump advisor hack in the world.

Hannity was getting better numbers too I believe.

Will be curious to see if she's actually the Fox News persona without Fox, or if that was towing the company profile.

US newscasters are some of the most cynical people around.

It's a good 'get' for NBC News and Megyn Kelly knows she can straddle both sides of the aisle.

Get out of there, girl

All women get the fuck away from the Roger Ailes machine. Fox News can be old white man town forever.

Fox News is going to essentially be state run media for 4 years. This will be more clear to more people as the anti Trump people leave.

This is a good development.

But is she a batshit crazy right winger because that's what she is, or because that's what the network wanted?

When it comes to news and political opinion, I really don't care if she is crazy or a fraud. To those "good for her" and "she deserves better" posts... no, she really doesn't.

She's a pretty typical educated conservative white woman. Plenty of racism and dog whistling but every once in a while she's slightly centrist about an issue that specifically affects educated conservative white women and she's seen as reasonable.

Maybe she can invite Mark Fuhrman onto her to NBC program to discuss the next racially charged police incident.
Its always gunna be a "fuck Megyn Kelly" from me, she defends police brutality and acts as an attack dog against social justice movements while legitimising actual human trash like Mark Fuhrman and Sheriff David Clarke.

She's centered her newscasts around dog whistle politics and tapping into White racial resentment, I dont feel a shred of pity over her getting burnt by the forces of evil she helped create and I damn sure aint buying whatever centrist makeover she tries to pull at NBC.

Exactly.

People need to be careful not to fall into the trap of having watched a handful of high profile conservatives say something reasonable about how terrible Trump is, thus making it easier to forget about how terrible THOSE conservatives have been the whole time.

It's going to be really weird seeing her popping up on Morning Joe or any of the evening MSNBC shows.

Although I've stopped watching Morning Joe because of this last election and their gross tango with Trump.

God, does anyone remember when you could turn on MSNBC on a Saturday morning and watch Up with Chris Hayes back to back with the admittedly-mediocre MHP show and actually see people talking in-depth about interesting stuff that wasn't in the "news cycle."

Lets be real, Megan Kelly likely has to play a part being on FOX. If the money is good (which it definitely will be if she jumped ship) then I fully expect her to change her tune.

One less FOX mouthpiece is good enough for me. Just shows how little the conservative message means in the end after all.

Next thing you'll know is everyone is going to see Kelly during next year's Super Week since Super Bowl LII is on NBC.

She did put a little too much time on that Richard Sherman post NFCC rant.

One on hand, she' a pretty awful woman, on the other hand maybe NBC will move her more left and allow her to atone for awfulness?

I mean, I'm all for moving on from the past but she struck me as someone who can dish it but can't take it which was shown during her feud with trump.

Don't know what to say. Congrats to NBC I guess for potentially pulling Kelly-faithfuls over to the network? I dunno, she's a terrible person and no amount of vaguely centrist leaning last year will ever change that.

Let's not get it twisted, she has some pretty horrible hateful opinions and beliefs, but out of anyone at Fox she definitely seems the most sensible all the same.

She is only liberal on women's issues. She's a die hard typical white feminist and goes all in on anything affecting women.

But otherwise she is fairly conservative and just as crazy as the others.

If I remember correctly:

Wasn't it Megyn Kelly who used to a few years ago be staunch opponent to maternity leave and parental pay when people would get babies because "big government, mandatory entitlement programs" and then when SHE got a baby and was away for a month then came back, suddenly she was a very angry supporter of said maternity leave and parental pay because "it was important in order for the mother to bond with the baby"?

Edit: Yaaaay, it was. :D

She's a jerk. :D

Good for Megyn, she'll be a great fit on NBC. Fox probably didn't like how often Megyn got under Donalds skin. Trump fears her more than ISIS and its hilarious
