Mass Effect Andromeda trailer tease, cinematic trailer out tomorrow 1/26

They already said long gameplay trailer is coming.

You guys need to calm down it's still 2 months

We're so conditioned to long marketing campaigns that we panic when we aren't inundated with materials months/years in advance. I enjoy hype trailers and disposable merchandise as much as the next person but this is what everyone should be doing, hope it works out for them.

I didn't say 'all' the negativity. Everyone has different feelings on what they want to see, so if you're wanting to see more tone, atmosphere and characters, I think you'll like it.

All I want is a long form gameplay slice of the game. Walk through your ship, pick a planet on the galaxy map, land on the planet, ride the Nomad, do a quest, and return to ship once the quest is complete.

Might skip this trailer and go in as unspoiled as possible, they already have my money.

Hell yea I'm so excited for this. This game and Horizon are the main reasons I got the pro and the Samsung KS8500 last week :D

A CGI trailer? Maybe start showing the real game for ones?

They've already shown the real game. Also, if you're that concerned, we already know that people with EA/Origin Access will be able to play a 10 hour long demo 5 days before launch. So we can rest easy knowing that we'll at least have THAT to base our first day purchases on.

Guys, we've seen gameplay. It looks like ME but with a jetpack. I'm interested in seeing a new story trailer.

Besides, there's the IGN thing next month.

You guys know what i mean. The lack of gameplay and info so close to release is just odd.

Man... I don't know if I should or shouldn't watch it. I'm so excited but I don't want to spoil the game for myself. Oh well, guess I've got one more day to make up my mind.

Could be good.

Do you have a PC that can run it in 4k?

Na. I considered building a PC but it got a little confusing for me and just didn't have the time to put into it. Maybe my next promotion when I get some extra cash flow I'll be able to just go out and build one. Just have ps4 pro and 4k tv at the moment.

If we use that trailer then MEA gameplay is about being TPS with some gathering and crafting elements. I'm more interested to learn about RP side of things like how dialogue system is done this time, how crew relationships will work, how morality works etc.

Basically are they using model from DAI that used model from ME3 or did they improve it this time around.

I'm ready. Hopefully the marketing gets better from here

from what ive heard from what the devs are twitting out, looks like there will be a blitz with the games marketing starting at the end of this month, and I guess this trailer is the start of that. With like 8-9 weeks before release, they could release something every week.

Hopefully it's good.

Mabye it's just me but I feel like the trailers for this game have been terrible. Even talking to friends it seems like the overall hype level for this game isn't that high and a big part of why is the lackluster trailers

It's either some narrator explaining the game. Or some kinda vague and uninteresting trailers that make it seem like some game pretty early in development instead of a few months from release.
Which is weird, as Bioware generally has great trailers. I remember selling several people on the Mass Effect franchise just with the launch trailers

They said they're gonna do a shorter marketing cycle with this game than usual.

If in 8 weeks you still don't have enough information to make a purchase decision how about waiting for impressions when it's out or try it on EA Access?
I am certainly not buying ME:A at launch. What I was saying is that even when comparing to games with shorter launch cycles like Fallout 4, it is still strange how little information we have for this game.

For general customers who now days form opinions also from previews by major YouTube personalities, it is a bit weird. I don't see this game being hyped up anywhere, and 8 weeks is a short amount of time to get people to fully buy in before release from business perspective.

We have seen more from Horizon and Sony held their cards close to the chest on that one too.

Edit:
Oh, that's fucking nice. Both, the hints and that you chose the best class. :p

Actually with only 3 active abilities it will be interesting if pure biotic playthrough will be viable.

I never said anything like that?

It's all completely in-game with a bit of AfterEffects.

so you mean like the initiative videos that clearly had what looked like nomad driving gameplay and then they have this at the end?

They don't need to be teasing shit this close to release, they need to be dropping info since we barely know anything.

This.

Protracted marketing campaigns are one thing, but it's a matter of weeks until launch and we know nothing bar "hey guys it's a new mass effect!" and about 3 and a half total minutes of cover shooting.

I don't like the main character. Yeah yeah you can change his face but you can't do anything about the voice. ME is Shepard for me, I hope that it will have a great story so I can forget about the character

I don't disagree with this, I'm hoping to enjoy it but I'm going to be missing Shep and co.

And that cover shooting didn't even look exciting or that interesting. That's the crux of the problem right there. Not much info exists and the one that does is not particularly thrilling.

Agreed. But only a handful of titles can.

hey dandy.....read carefully what does it say at the bottom of the end of that trailer.....

"Representative".....meaning it might not be actual gameplay, its basically a vertical slice.

A vertical slice is gameplay though... usually a portion of the game saved off and polished to hell and back (compared to the rest of the game) for presentation purposes.

Are you kidding? that's 100% gameplay, use your common sense.

Except that FemRider scene that even devs admitted for being very unpolished and unfinished. It looks so terrible from animation perspective, that hand movement and insane grin is just next level :D

I never said that was a vertical slice. I was just defining the word vertical slice to the person who posted above me.

sometimes polished....scripted is the word I think you were looking for

Oh yeah, it's always scripted as well. These things are usually rehearsed to make sure to show certain things and avoid others.

100's of trailers and gameplay videos

"Ahh they're showing too much. Spoilers everywhere!"

Barely show anything aside from a 10 minute gameplay demo

"Bit worried we've not seen much"

"About time they showed us some gameplay"

I prefer the latter tbh. Show me as little as you want.
