I'm playing Nintendo Switch tomorrow at PAX, what unanswered questions do you have?

I would like to know if you'll be able to transfer the Zelda save file to another Switch. Say if I play the game, save on SD card, then sell the Switch and game, can I later import/use the save if I buy another system?

Wait do game saves go on the sd card or internal memory?

It was said somewhere else that the game cards are read only, so I'm guessing all saves are on the switch/sd card maybe as an option?

Also - what did you do to get banned my man?! :(

I want to see system setting screens. Like can I turn off rumble and the auto dimmmer.

Any word on achievement type things also.

Nintendo mentioned cloud saves being possible on their future hardware during one of the last few investor meetings, so it seems likely we'll get cloud saves with the Switch at some point, if not launch.

Yeah, with press they'll be more lenient I think. I was at the monster boy booth and was talking to a media guy and understood they let him do his thing and even get direct video of his gameplay.

I didn't try the pro controller, they only have that set up for Splatoon 2. But unless you have really big fat hands then the joy con should be very comfortable and you won't run into the right analog while pressing buttons.

Another thing- expect bomber man to bomb hard (excuse the pun). Out of all the tables that one had consistently poor attendance. When you have a table with like four Nintendo Switches and you have to drag people over to them, then you know you have a problem. People who did try it weren't having any fun, you could see it on their faces. Avoid or at least cancel your preorder until reviews come out.

Sounds like bomberman is a good spot to try and get some in depth answers on hardware since there won't be a bunch of people waiting then lol

Question: Can the Pro controller be used as a wierd controller while plugged in or is it just like the Wii U pro controller - can't send info over usb.

Fuck that noise about Bomberman, it's Bomberman.
If you like Bomberman, it will be fun.
If you don't, it won't be.
I heard more positive impressions than negative.

Yeah. I can't imagine 4 player bomberman being shitty unless the thing is running at 10 fps. The formula just works.

I agree. A friend of mine said "But it looks like shit !". and I said : Yes, like every Bomberman game before, right ? Remember Bomberman 64 and Bomberman Hero ? Yeah, it was the Uncharted 4 of the N64.

I'm torn on the graphics.
Sometimes I think it looks cool modernized and sometimes I think it's ass-ugly.
I guess it depends on the stage.

I have a question regarding Bomberman: in the battle mode (not story mode), can we play up to 4 players on a single tablet?

Not to sound like an ass, but why ask this person how it feels. This person doesn't have my hands. They could feel it's not good and I could feel it's good. The best impression is when you hold it yourself.

How sturdy is the kickstand?

does it have Bluetooth?

How many brightness levels?

is there a power saver mode?

😊

Really want to see how they handle Pokemon. Might be the start of something sweet. 😏

All I want to know is how comfortable it is to hold and is the new D-pad good?
I still can't believe they got rid of the classic Nintendo D-pad!
Lastly how good are the speakers?

Can we use Bluetooth headphones? Does the touchscreen have that haptic feedback stuff, or is that all limited to the controllers?

Yeah, but they had to do it to keep the two joy-con equal. I just wish they had made a d-pad equipped joy con.

Try going into system setting and see what all options are available.

Look up my previous posts. Menu button doesn't work, same as with all other console demo stations at PAX.

As for the bomberman thing, go ahead and believe what you want. I'm just reporting what I hear on the show floor. Everyone I talk to said it feels off and the table was so empty the booth workers were having to step in and play. Keep your preorder if you want but don't cry about it if you're disappointed later and those who actually played it told you so.

What was the "Uncharted 4 of the N64"?
Because both of those N64 Bomberman games you cited weren't anything special from a graphical point of view on N64.

If you can see the Joycon separated from the system without straps, is there metal on the rails to charge? Or is it some kind of Wireless charging solution?

Bomberman peaked on the Genesis. All the attempts to bring it back or reinvent , have been a about as successful as pacman and frogger games since then. Still fun in small chunks, but nothing that is going to draw big numbers outside of people desperate to play something, anything, on their shiney new device

I want to know how the HD rumble differentiates itself for games like Zelda or Arms. I get its use in 1, 2, Switch, but on other games I wonder if it feels better/different.

So far only Dragon Quest 1&2 has been officially announced to support HD Rumble, from what I know.

Why wouldn't HD Rumble make all the difference for Arms, being able to feel how the arms extend?

The first bomberman xbla game on 360 was great and kept a sizable fanbase.

Do you need internet access for local multiplayer with multiple Switch's.

I haven't heard an official source on this, but I highly doubt it. I'm sure it uses the same tech as a 3DS. If it did require wifi, GAF would have lost its shit by now.

it wirelessly connects multiple switches together by wifi tech, similar to what apple does with airdrop on the iPhone. it works like bluetooth except it's wifi tech instead.

you could connect multiple switches in space if you wanted to

Speak for yourself. Bomberman is hype as hell and I know tons of people who are stoked to play it who aren't even interested in buying a Switch.

1. While using a detached Joy Con, does pushing the left stick while pressing the B button, makes your thumbs touch each other? like what happened with the first Wii Classic controller? that was pretty unconfortable.

2. I wonder if there's a BOTW WiiU version in the event to play, but I wonder if there's some kind of functionality with the touchscreen.

3.Are the L and R detached Joy Con buttons "clicky" feel or "mushy" feel? A better question would be, can you tell which buttons are "mushy" and which ones "clicky"? (like those on the GBA SP and those in the NDSLite)

I can answer #2, at least at E3 the answer was sadly no.

I've read quite a few times that at least ARMS also has HD rumble as a feature (feeling as if the ribbon arms extend).

I just wanted to know how it feels in those more traditional games that support it. Mainly is it perceptible to you when playing and/or does it add a layer of immersion? I really want better rumble in conrollers because many times to me it is actually distracting. Hopefully Nintendo is doing something here that is a vast improvement.

In addition to normal rumble type situations we are all accustomed to I am also interested in puzzles and their implementation of it. It's unfortunate Zelda isn't using it as I think it would have been cool to mess with the controllers in puzzle situations. Especially physics based puzzles. I just finsished Tearaway Unfolded and think it would be really cool to have the game make you interact with the controller like Tearaway does and in the controller you could feel a weight shifting around based on where you are tilting it.

It's pretty annoying how Nintendo's Switch events don't come anywhere near me until well after the Switch is released. Further evidence of a rushed release.

Like come on! Have a west coast meet before March.

I get that people want to know whether they're going to need a screen protector, but why are people actually asking if a guy at a convention / press event, where he will be surrounded by Nintendo PR people, can start scratching a demo unit?

I mean while your at it, I want to take it into front line combat with me for moments of downtime when I'm in a foxhole. Can you smash it hard against the corner of a large object to simulate the stress it might get placed under during a firefight? I want to know how well it will hold up. Also if you could wave something really hot near it too that would be fab. I want to know how it will cope if a white phosphorus grenade goes off in my backpack by accident.

This is like those videos of people complaining about iPhone build quality because they smashed it to bits with a baseball bat and it didn't work afterwards.

You don't get asked back to a lot of parties, do you?

Is there any flex on the base unit? Does the base unit twist and creak? If so, does the game cart pop out and hit the guy opposite in the eye?

Does it feel comfortable to hold or are my hands going to hate my guts for playing it like the 3DS

I would have to imagine that it is closer to the Wiiu. Seeing that the parts you hold are compartibale size. I never had an issue with the Wiiu but could never stand the 3ds or xl.

See if you can get any info on how/if we can use headphones when docked. And not plugged into the headphone jack while docked--is there a solution for people who don't want to run a cable across the room? Bluetooth headphone support? Support for USB dongle based headsets like the Sony Golds?

I will get Bomberman on day one! To support the fact Konami actually gave a damn for once on bringing a classic IP back to life and because it actually looks good IMO. And fuuuuuuuuuunnnnn! Can't wait!

What is FloKO? Is it a spin off of Flotrack? As a former track and field athlete I used to visit that site a lot. Super weird they've expanded into gaming if so.

When playing games like Breath of the Wild and Splatoon 2 with dual Joy-Cons (with neither the Grip nor attachment to the console in handheld mode), how do the motion controls work? Is the gyro restricted to only one Joy-Con (e.g.., just the Joy-Con R in most games), or does moving either Joy-Con affect the camera/aiming? Hoping for the former; if not, I hope there would be system settings to disable at least one of the controllers' sensors in the final product.

Its my personal belief that Bomberman would be the second best selling launch game on Switch if it was priced at $39.99.

I'll be interested to see how it does at the higher price point.
