Oh I only seen someone say something about a game that wasn't working even when boost mode wasn't selected. hopefully all the games with bugs are listed before the FW is released or even better fixed before the release,

I'd like to see future PS4 games contain an option to switch off the developer created improvements so that people had the option of just letting the game run free in Boost Mode. I'd be surprised if it happened though as the majority of developers are doing what they can to keep their Pro patches as simple las possible and I'd image switching off their improvements but keeping the Pro flag selected isn't as simple as flicking a switch.
Maybe some first party games or even games that have had a Pro patch could see this happening. It's always good to have options but options such as this do complicated things.

Much closer to 60fps, actually the video i saw looked indistinguishable from 60fps like BF4.

I've been playing Arkham Knight, never noticed too many dips prior to Beast Mode. Pretty solid.

Those are not predictions...Because then he never has to acknowledge when he is "wrong" either...Like how when he railed on and on about "uprendering" and how the PS4 Pro was going to have a second GPU...or that Scorpio was actually a 6tf fp16 GPU, and the Pro might actually be more powerful...
He said Sony MIGHT release this update which we all know the hardware was capable of...From day 1 Mark Cerny told us this was possible...

Games can crash for a variety of reasons unless it's super obvs like it outright not working in Boost mode, I wouldn't believe such reports.
Like, I had Halo 5 crash on me a couple of times yesterday, must be the Xbox One S! /s

For simply just brute-forcing for these results without a proper Pro patch optimised to make full use out of the Pro hardwares features this is brilliant results.
Alot of Pro patched games have improved visuals effects and stuff too which you can still notice on your 1080p TV, also any games with higher res than 1080p that has downsampling support you will also get that too

you get better IQ at 1080p as well. not just performance boosts
Man their shitty engine runs poop on a gtx 1080 and a 6 core i7 so out of sonys hands.

Yep, I'm thinking about getting a Pro too. I keep going back and forth on it lol. I just think it would be better to wait about 2 more years for PS5 (or at least the announcement of it) and see if it is backward compatible with even better performance for older games.
Blame the dev.
I have the same setup and the Pro has been totally worth it even before this announcement. I sold my PS4 a few months prior but I would have upgraded eventually with this news, no doubt about it.

I really want to know what the framerate is like in other places, like battles and dungeons. Honestly this is what will get me to buy a Pro.

I do think the priority should be on performance at this point. Games can still look good at 60fps and graphics (and other stuff) don't need to look that good at a locked 30fps.
I think everything looks suitable since I only moved to this gen early 2015. I was still on PS3 up to that point and it was rough.

I'm sure it's coming later on but i can't wait for an os level checkerboard implementation for all the games. 1440p,1800p-4k CB. Just like this update, let users pick what they want best.
That would never happen. You're not going to change how games are rendered at an OS level.
