The game mostly performed at a stable 30fps, but in the Batmobile it could get some very minor frame drops which would cause screen tearing due to the adaptive v-sync. Boost mode seems to clear up the tearing for the most part.
I don't even know if that's a good thing anymore

That's good, I remember even with the latest patches, the game wasn't hitting fluid 60 in some areas of the game, this is great news.
It would have been unwise to have this feature at launch. If it fucked up even a few games it would have fucked the perception of the pro (even though it's optional). Remember there are too many games to completely test start to finish it's all unknown. They made the right choice

Only effects terrorist hunt with v-sync off so relax there buddy.
Horse armor? The hell,this is a game changer. I hope this happens every gen now since it is a great option to have.

T hunt is the only unlocked mode afaik, and it needs to be set to vsync off, so try learning to read before bashing people

Don't expect this to really feel any different. I saw some testing in thread from one guy, but that's not really conclusive.
Destiny is unique in that just about every loading screen is actually hiding matchmaking. So going to orbit & entering an activity has other things going on that just loading assets.
Destiny is capped at 30 fps & very stable outside of one encounter in the newest raid. I would expect no noticeable improvements. Better orbit/landing is probably placebo down to matchmaking.
Online is smoother. SP is negligible. Online is where i see most of the improvement, and btw this is still a gorgeous game.

Boost mode is simply a mode for all PS4 games that released before PS4 Pro released that didn't get patched that's it. All games going forward will still be developed on OG PS4 as base then include Pro patched enhanced version for PS4 Pro, nothing will happen to your standard PS4 mid-gen and onwards it will be just as usual the same as it been before

I don't even have a problem with 30fps, it's jarring when coming to a 30fps game from a 60fps game but I can get used to it and not suffer any detriment to enjoyment. It's when it dips below 30 that it's completely unacceptable.

Good points. It seems like a rather sad attempt to bolster his image and credibility on the forum -- which I guess took a beating, or else he wouldn't have to go to these lengths to try to restore them. He seems rather desperate for other people to recognize how smart and prescient he is. That kind of thing (trying to convince people you're smart) usually backfires. If you're trying that hard to convince people you're brilliant, they are going to wonder why.

I've heard that Assassins Creed Unity install off disc (no patches) runs with an unlocked framerate. You'd have to play the game offline, but curious how that would run.
Yeah we need a a list of games that consist of good improvements.

That's so true. Here's how I cope: a) I really don't get much use out of my ps4. It has probably 500 hours of play on it between the two of us. I bough it during the 2015 kmart price matching bum rush for 200 dollars. b) Just knowing the game will be better on a pro down the line is satisfying. c) I have been thru many graphical upgrades at this point. I can appreciate the enhancement to the pro version but it's not exactly lighting a fire in me.
So I'll try to be good and save that money for now. I do have other hobbies. :x Nothing too spendy but everything costs money.
Dang! When I saw that Bloodborne had some improvements in certain areas, I got hopeful.

I swear it can't be a placebo but the outlast 2 demo runs notably smoother on my tv in boost mode but the game is already 60fps(not sure if it was locked) on the base ps4. Anyone tried it yet?

In what alternate universe do you live in where onQ seems like someone who gives a shit what some you think about him? Dude just loves video games and never engage in personal insult unless someone personally attacks him. Even in some instances he just ignores it. Ever since i joined this forum and even in his personal blog and youtube channel, he's been purely focused on the technological aspect of games. Never claims to be smart but loves to learn about these things.
I'm pretty sure he quotes himself to purely get under people's skin, like metfant and his ilk. It seems to personally draw out the asshole in some people whenever he does that. You also come off as an asshole with that snide comment about onQ.

YAY 3 extra fps to replay bloodborne and witcher 3. Get a grip.
If anything this could become bad news. Now for new games, developers can take the easy way out and opt out from making a REAL PRO version with significantly higher IQ, , and just have the system run the game at a steadier fps, with some minor better loading.
