Destiny 2: Fall 2017, new geographies/audiences, for core/casual players, story focus

I just want the planets to feel like proper planets this time around. Destiny 1's vision felt utterly crippled by the constraints of last gen hardware.

Still seems early.

I loved Destiny 1, but Bungie just doesn't have the size to create the content a game of this fidelity demands to keep it going as a proper MMO. I kind of hope they back off the grind and make some great one shot coop content as a result.

Eager to see what the next installment looks like in any case.

They very much do, now. IIRC Bungie is ~700 strong currently.

It needs a better campaign. It needs to top their Halo campaigns. Or at least try. Destiny's campaign was a big letdown. It needs the big battles, the vehicles, the cutscenes, all that stuff.

Has destiny 2 been confirmed as a sony exclusive??

No but they've been partnered with Sony for the past few years for marketing and exclusive content so it would make sense to show up during Sony's E3 conference.

Please Playstation 4 Pro support and make it 60fps.

I don't know why people still think this will happen. It will release on OG systems too. To keep the balance between the two it will be 30 fps. Best you can hope for is better IQ or resolution.

all this tells me is we get a rushed game with the same amount of content as the predecessor

or they are confident as fuck and deliver something even better

Rushed huh? How so?

Oh you mean the stock thing? I doubt that will happen. It was delayed once, I doubt they delay it again.

I hope something from Destiny 1 transfers over, even if it isn't my character. They'd better have something in place for that to work on PC as well.

My Guess is poorly.

Cod, Titanfall, Battlefield all have really bad mp numbers.

Not sure why Destiny would be any different. Especially since this is the sequel, which makes it even worse.

Depends really. COD is just a crappy port every year and BF and TF are on Origin.

I've been back to playing Destiny the last several days, and I would be down for a sequel with enough improvements to storytelling, customization, and gameplay.

My friends and I put an ungodly amount of time into Destiny. Gonna be there day one and put over 1000 hours into the sequel just like the first game.

It's insane that Bungie has to release Destiny 2 this year or else there are consequences. So no matter what the state of the game is they have to push it out and just patch / add things as it goes. Hopefully this is not the case and it launches smooth.

So it's definitely coming this year and it'll probably be pretty light on content at launch, unfortunately. But if they can build it up over time like they have with the first game, I guess I'm okay with that.

Hopefully it's skill based and not "grind for 400 hours for the one shot kill gun and win" based.

Unlocks should be purely aesthetic. Keep it as close to Halo 2 and 3 as possible.

Keep CoD CoD.
