New screenshots of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix, published on the game’s official PlayStation Japan page, reveal the collection’s new title selection screen, which shows all six titles on a single disc.

The titles included in the collection are as follows:

Kingdom Hearts Final Mix
Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (Movie)
Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix
Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Final Mix
Kingdom Hearts Re:coded (Movie)

The bottom of the screen shows “Special,” “Credit HD 1.5,” and “Credit HD 2.5” options, as well as a prompt to press Triangle for a notice regarding sharing videos.

More screens at the link.

I didn't know this was a thing. I'm glad I held off on the others. Unless, this isn't just a Japanese release is it?

This series is so confusing which one of those games is the first game? Who named this collection? What does a "Kingdom Hearts" mean?

Love that KH menus are thread worthy, ha ha.
Looks better than the other game selection menus and it looks like they'll give themes still judging from the special button which is great.

Still disappointed we aren't getting the special 1.5/2.5/2.8 case. I really would like to buy it twice for that.

They really should differentiate between the actual playable games and the 'movies'. The uninitiated might look at that screen and assume 358/2 Days and Re: Coded were playable in this version.

If they bought the game expecting 6 full games where it says just 4 games+2 movies on the box and in all released information they only have themselves to blame.

Pardon my ignorance, but is there any confirmation this will release digitally? I know 2.8 did, so I'm hopeful, I just know that previous KH releases never saw the light of day on PSN.

Do we happen to know yet if this PS4 release will offer improved load times compared to the PS3 version? Shit was a total deal-breaker for me. 2-5 second load every single time you changed rooms or a cutscene started.

Same thing happened with FFX/2 on the PS3, which the PS4 version mercifully rectified.

Looking good. I'm sure saves won't be able to be transferred over from the cloud, so I guess I'll see how fast I can run through 2 without cutscenes.

Totally, it's not like prior to the collection - you had sequels releasing exclusively on differing platforms. Or that you have to watch two dull movies compiled of cutscenes from this collection in order to follow the story.

Nah, easier just to say 1.5 -> 2.5 -> 2.8 and act like the series isn't a convoluted mess.

Awesome! Can't wait for its release. Quick question though, shouldn't Days go after 2 instead of the other way around or am I wrong?

It should considering all PS4 games install to the HDD. The question is are the ports good otherwise. The original PS3 releases were pretty buggy.

Gotta get this since the copy of 1.5 I borrowed was taken back by my friend. I didn't get far at all so its a good time to start over.

That menu looks quite good.

Honestly, by now I think they should just remove the "Final Mix" part from the names, since these are pretty much the definitive editions and the only editions that are getting ported.
I also still hope they'll restore the original Heartless colors and the title screens, since KH3 uses the pre-FM colors (which were arguably better) and will probably have that "Sora at the beach" title screen again, but alas it will never happen.

As of the remaster releases, not anymore.

I mean really, anyone can choose to play all the Kingdom Hearts games in any order they want, but Squeenix released 1.5 and 2.5 in that order, and listed them this way in this collection collection.

It's not mandatory to play in that order. But that's the way it released.

Awesome screen.

Why did the collection named 1.5 + 2.5 HD Remix release on March 28th and while the one named 2.8 HD Remix released on January 15th? Are they trying to confuse us?!

B-Because they assumed people werent u-u-under a rock when they a-a-advertised the shit out 1.5 and 2.5 in 2012-2014. P-Plus they're all over the Internet (wiki, SE site, YouTube, Amazon, etc.) so y-you can't miss them.

But is it worth it? Will I feel anything while playing this game? Is Kingdom Hearts good? lol I don't even know

One of the best franchises ever especially if you love Disney and final fantasy.

I have every single version of every game, even the mobile online game.

Gonna be triple dipping on the PS4 ver even though I still have the ps2 and PS3 versions.

I used to do a marathon run on all games 3 years straight - haven't done one last year , I did the year before - this will be my 5th playthrough come this holiday season but I will have kh 2.8 as well ;p

Anybody know if the Japanese version of this has dual english menus? Audio I can survive, but english menus and subtitles would be nice...I want that gorgeous LE.

That release order had everything to do with value and nothing to do with any intended play order, though. SE was never, ever going to release the two numbered, biggest games in a package with another game and then release BbS with two crappy moviesual novels a year later for the same price.

I mean, at the end of the day, whatevs, it's still KH so lolcutscenes but KH2 FM is a good game and 358/2 Days HD isn't a good anything, yet watching it first will destroy just about every twist KH2 tries to pull off. Pretty much the only thing you can't deduce is what Riku looks like grown up.

I'm glad that these are on PS4. The mandatory install will do wonders for load times (which were slower on KH2 PS3 compared to PS2).
