On the All Formats Top 40 (Units) Ubisoft’s ‘For Honor’ holds on to No1 for a second week even though sales are down 72% over week 1.

Microsoft/THQ Nordic have to settle with No2 as ‘Halo Wars 2’ debuts at No2 for Xbox One and PC. The original ‘Halo Wars’ also debuted at No2 in week 9, 2009 – beaten to No1 back then by Sony and Guerilla’s ‘Killzone 2’ on PS3. Next week’s chart will have a hotly anticiptated new IP from Guerilla Games, as ‘Horizon Zero Dawn’ launches on PS4 in the same week as Nintendo Switch. Turning back to this week and Rockstar/Take 2 remain stable at No3 with ‘Grand Theft Auto V’, as do EA, remaining at No4 with ‘FIFA17’. The second big new release from last week, Sold Out and Rebellion’s ‘Sniper Elite 4’ drops 3 places to No5

Rocket League still selling well it is giving gta/minecraft a run for its money on legs (not total sales etc) really glad still play the game heavily so good and keep just making a little bit better with each update.

as a ps4 fanboy myself, i think zelda will be number one due to it being a new entry in an established franchise and also tied to a new hardware launch.

Still, Horizon will take an easy 2.

I foresee Halo Wars 2 being pushed out of top 10 altogether.

I'd expect Zelda on Switch to beat Horizon on its own anyway, but remember Zelda is also out on the Wii U so also has that advantage in terms of sales

Zelda will obviously beat out Horizon next week but I don't think the gap between the two will be as large as everyone is expecting..

So that's... not very hot for Halo Wars?

We don't have numbers so who knows.
Unless we have last week For Honour figures to help work out the upper tier with it's 72% drop.

I expect it to fall out the top 10 charts next week though.

UK is probably the weakest market for Nintendo. Even with a 1:1 ratio for Switch version I'm not 100% sure it can beat Horizon.

How many Wii U were sold in Uk in the first week ?

Well the upper tier would be NMS which was 110k( last weeks quote was biggest new ip since NMs). So that would make the hishest possible ~30k

Being significantly down from HW1 is great?
That was always going to happen. Just like it won't sell 600k in NPD

I'm afraid you are putting too much faith in the UK Nintendo Switch launch although I would love to be wrong.

Nintendo Wii U sold 40,000 units in its launch week, let's say that Nintendo Switch sells 60,000 units and 80% of people bought The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, then add maybe 15,000 - 20,000 units of the Nintendo Wii U version and then the total would be around 70,000 units perhaps?

Thanks for the context, seems Nintendo was weaker than I previous thought. If that 60k turns out to be a good ballpark, then Zelda will likely not out sell Horizon (which I expect around 100k). We'll see in 7 days.

Interesting perspective; thanks. I guess the way things are looking Horizon should be selling at least as many copies as No Man's Sky? Seems like it's going to be a big hit for Sony and with the very strong reviews and good social media feedback I'm sure pre-orders are going to be very healthy.

What does (-72%) mean in For Honor? I would assume it's the first week, so the sales hasn't been decreased? Or am I missing something? Surely I am.

Suppose For Honor sold 100,000 copies in week 1. A -72% decrease would mean that it has sold 28,000 copies in Week 2

Nice to see HW2 in the top 3 and Horizon 3 still kicking around the top 10, like I mentioned in the other thread I'm expecting Horizon ZD to beat out Zelda for the top spot, convincingly.

Talking globally number here as dont have UK numbers but talking over 53 million install base for Horizon and 15/16 million max for Zelda taking 13 million WIIU and 2 million number Nintendo expect to sell of switch. Does being a launch game & a nintendo game (typically higher attach rates) I agree most (90+%) people buying a switch will get Zelda but Horizon has a lot of hype too.

Will be an intresting week feel sorry to anything else coming out.

Personally had Horizon on pre order, and just cancelled Zelda/Switch preoders as can't justify hardware for one game and might be cheaper (hardware, doubt the game will drop) towards the end of the year. Was really exicited but they managed to consistanty unsell me on something i really wanted a few months ago, have 2 hours a day on a train, will stick with vita till i see how things fall.

It isnt 2009 anymore. A Halo spinoff console RTS getting second spot is good.

Commenting on placings without considering the numbers will never stop being funny. So you think it's great being significant down too, or how should I interpret your reply to my post?

In a world where RTS no longer popular, down still good.
If we factor micro transactions revenue and all, could remain as profitable. At very lease diversify Xbox library.

Ewww, you can never get me to agree with microtransactions as something positive, no matter how the argument is presented.

Zelda will take #1 cause of the insane attach ratio it will have.

There's a limit to the attach ratio though, 1:1 with the Switch stock levels.

Given Bruno's Nintendo UK launch numbers above I'm not sure it will beat out Horizon's launch, unless Wii U version does great numbers as well.

I think Horizon will take top spot, Zelda will get a boost from the Switch, but also be limited by it, Wii U's sales will be limited by stockshortages too me thinks. Should be really close though.
