Round wind in a quarter-game is East the entire time. A half-game will be East around the table once and then South. Note in your game earlier it was East 4. Both your seat wind and the round wind were the same.

I believe you press the square button to declare riichi. The furiten rule requires you to not be waiting on a tile that you've already discarded. So if you tossed a white dragon out earlier in the round, you cannot finish your hand by taking a discarded white dragon from someone, you would need to draw it yourself from the wall or change the tile you need to win.

edit: ok i'm confusing myself. let's try that again.
You get 1 han if you collect your seat wind or the round wind. If both of those are the same, one triplet is worth 2 han. If you collect North when you're sitting in the West seat during a South round, it's not going to do anything.

My head hurts... but now I got it. Somehow I totally missed that the round wind is declared right there in the middle of the table!

Ch 14... damn, the surprises are coming fast now. I really want to beat the shit out of that
hitman. But I'm distracted for now by the fact that my main bro Nishiki is back!! I had to laugh when Kiryu took his suit jacket off and his wounds were completely gone. Chinese medicine is pretty good I guess.

Yakuza is always so mean. I'm ~95% on completion basically only having 19 minigame goals left. But the last few % always feel like as much work as the 95% before.
That said you just feel so close to the goal at that point.....

Also sadly I had to learn that I've lost my own heat eye for batting xD. Srsly too hard...
In Y5 where I had to do the gravure model batting mode with the bombs I played it soo much it felt like I had developed heat vision towards the end where stuff slowed down before each strike. Gotta get there again.

Should work on the easy stuff first like the whole bunch of luck based games.

Earned close to 350m off 2 Mr Shakedowns this morning

Got the Platinum a couple of days ago. Took one day to get my blood pressure back to normal.

Congratulations for page 200.

Currently enjoying Mahjong because it's my brand new thing.

How would you rank the platinum among the other Yakuza plats?

It'd be one of the easier ones if not for the Cat Fighting trophy which is a pain in the ass.

Otherwise its fairly straight forward, the biggest time sink is clearing the CP list in the game and getting all the weapons/blue prints with Majima (since that also has a large element of luck to it). Mah Jong can be a bit of a pain if your not familiar with the game as well, but once it clicks you shouldn't have too many problems with it.

It'll probably still take you around 100 hours to clear all the CP challenges though, but its not as hard as Yakuza 3 or 5's plat, which are tougher due to certain mini games (for 3) and just the sheer amount of content (for 5).

Kiwami is easier still since bar the Majima fights it has a shorter CP list to clear, and 6 is even easier still because you don't even need to clear the CP list for the plat (plus you can just load up a final boss save and up the difficulty to legendary to get the legendary difficulty trophy rather than having to play the entire game through a second time).

Climax Battles were incredibly frustrating. I was stuck on Proving Ground 8 for over a week until I discovered Majima windmill attack (which then made all of his battles a vertical joke).

Fighting through the discos on hard was a challenge (but knocked them out after working through the song patterns).

Lastly, Mahjong was an enjoyable challenge. I literally learned how to play (YouTube, Wikipedia and various sites). I also realized that your luck (in Mahjong regarding the tiles you draw and hand you are dealt..As well as all games) is greatly affected by the gear you wear.

Everything else is just a slow burn that I try to workout during game play.

This is the hardest by far.

I have a love/hate relationship with it.
As you may know, the previous title gave you (cheats) tokens through which you could win at any non arcade game you wanted to play.

Yakuza Zero left you on an island by yourself, welcoming you with open airs. I'm pretty excited that I'm a budding Mahjong player (looking at local clubs/parlor in the DMV) however the time differential spent between Y0 gaming vs other Y titles is like 2/1.

Lastly, I did not appreciate that Y0 removed the carrier over when playing the hardest difficulty (essentially making you play Legend mode as a virgin).

Part of the reward of the final playthrough was kicking ass and having balls-out fun during the process.

The existing model just adds an additional gate to the plat but takes the smile of the golden gun and prior collection efforts away during the process. Not cool.

What kind of gear should you wear to increase your luck?
I don't know how to play mahjong and have no interest in learning. I think my mom knows how to play, maybe I'll ask her to clear the challenges for me.

I agree so much with this. I'm putting the legend playthrough of and even then I hope I can skirt through doing the absolute minimum. No way I'm doing real estate and cabaret again.
If I had known about it I would have actually just lent my PS4 to a friend for him to beat Y0 to unlock legend and then doing the 100% on a legend save.

You should equip gear and accessories that boost financial luck.

For gear: Dragon Shirt or Lucky Binding.

For accessories: Beads of Good Fortune, Head Honcho Scarf or Security Wallet (note that I had more luck with the wallet and beads than the scarf and beads).

That's ingenious. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone who would be interested in playing a Yakuza title and my son would only touch it if it had a FPS mode.

By the way, I ignored the real estate, cabaret and just about everything else as much as could while playing Legend mode.

Man I've been so busy over the last couple of weeks yet I've just made it into the top ten.

200 pages in over a month, really anxious to say how Kiwami does in comparison :p

So I just leave this game running in the bg while I do work or chores so I can collect real estate money. I think I found the perfect background game.

Hopefully it makes me OP and I can run through the rest of the story relatively quickly.

When you think you're learning mahjong but you don't actually know shit.

Is the AI straight dumber on lower difficulties because I'm half way on the money CP achievement and i'm kind of more worried of how to get Mangan and Hanemans.

I think i always played in the easy tables but i dont noticed any big changes in AI when i tryed the hard tables. (general game dificulty dont make majong more easy)

Thers an option u should switch when u start playing Majong at the tables that gives u a chance to score more points using "Dora". I think by default if off, u should turn it on.

Then is just a matter of luck untill u get all u need. It took me around 8h to get all the Majong targets. The one that took me longer was to finish the game with a Straight.

Im not a majong expert but it has some similarities to poker. Also it help to press the square button when its ur turn to play, sometimes u may have a hand ready to win the game and if u dont press the square button the game dont tells you.

Also dont discard tiles on the table for other to see. If you win by never showing ur tiles you gain extra points that help for the Hangan and Hanemans requirements.

The AI is the same. I'll try to provide some general tips this afternoon.

"Start with this, then move on to Kiwami".

Though OT2 is looking a bit unlikely. Granted we got to 200 pages, but we'll need to effectively double that and quite a decent chunk of the community has already finished the game.

oh! i thought the limit was 200 pages. we can continue on =)

Thought the max was 350 pages?

It sounds like Kiwami is only a fraction of the length of Yakuza 0, I am very happy to hear that. As much as I am enjoying it there are way too many super long games nowadays.

Lets keep this page alive then.

Why is Kuze so awesome, and why does he have the most bad ass themes?

Can't decide between Oath of Enma and the other one.

I'll be surprised if this thread makes it to OT2 honestly. I think this is the most I've ever posted in a Yakuza OT despite playing all the games though so something must be going right. I'll probably never reach the top 10 like the hardcore Yakuza supporters though.

He needs awesome music though, otherwise beating him 4 times will just make him look like a total chump. Just my theory anyways lol.
