That mustache is hilarious and the saving grace of that design. It's the kind of style decision someone would make if they also thought rocking a mullet and a bandana was cool in 2007 when the MGS2 tanker chapter takes place.

Personally I vote for Peace Walker. Dat Che Guevara motif.

I'm surprised people like the MGSV design so much. The horn shards are awful, and the robot arm is bleh.

MGS1 and MGS3 are the best imo. Both manage to be iconic and classy without going overboard on details or trying hard. MGS2 is cool but I think the looser suit from 1 is more appealing (Snake's face is better in 2 obvi). MGS4 is just not a good look. Peace Walker is too bulky. Ground Zeros looks good but is more reminiscent of Sam Fisher than Snake these days.

MGS1 + MGS3 also the best games. Not a coincidence.

Metal Gear Ac!d 2's Snake looks awesome as hell. I agree, the first game is really weird and offputting, but there is a lot to like about Ac!d 2. Give it a try sometime!

Snake has been rocking a mullet since MGS2. Longer if you count the briefing to MGS1. I do wish there was a no-ponytail version of Venom so we could see it in its full glory.
