Where is Rocksteady

Rocksteady is a top tier developer. Their past 3 games have been some of the best of the best and some of my favorite. Fun gameplay, fun story, and beautiful graphics to boot (Knight is the second best looking open world game). An extra cherry on top because they happen to be BATMAN games. It's been far too long since we've heard anything big from them. I wouldn't consider Batman VR to be a big deal.

I'm ready for their next game and I'm hoping we get teased soon (E3)

You guys miss Rocksteady?

Look for me on the local news, I'll be the guy arrested for trying to burn down a Nintendo exec's house.
Batman Arkham VR was made by Rocksteady and is the goto example of AAA VR.

I really wonder what they can do outside of Batman. Not everything they've done in their games was perfect but I've greatly enjoyed all three of their Batman games regardless. Placing my hopes on an original IP that they can go wild on.

It hasn't been that long since Arkham Knight came out. I'm not surprised at all that we haven't heard from them on a new game at this point.

I mean, they just released a game 5 months ago

They prob moved on from Batman games too, so it takes longer to make new stuff.

arkham knight was less than two years ago and they just shipped batman vr

it's gonna be quite awhile longer before you hear anything at all tbh

We have no information about the current development situation at Rocksteady. We do know that the next Batman game is under development at Warner Brothers Montreal (Arkham Origins dev). It's a Damien Wayne batman game, and since it got greenlit around the same time as Rocksteady shipped Arkham Knight, the two games shouldn't be too far apart in terms of release date, maybe 6-12 months out of phase depending on how each project goes.

Rocksteady has previously commented that they are done with the Batman franchise, however whether they will move onto an original IP or another Warner Brothers property (any other DC character / Mad Max / The Matrix / Lethal Weapon / Ace Ventura etc) is anybody's guess.

It'll be a year before you find out Rocksteady's next project. Hell, WB Montreal released their last game 18 months before Arkham Knight and we still don't officially know their new game.

I thought that Arkham Knight was still real good, although flawed and probably my least favorite of the Rocksteady trilogy. Looking forward to whatever they do next.

For their sake, I hope they're not stuck with Batman.

(They probably are though, since WB doesn't make original games and no DC character has as much heat as Batman. Be weird if they did something crazy like make a genuinely good and not just good-for-a-licensed-title Harry Potter game)

Was. Arkham Knight was trash. Like, I'm a super fan who LOVES all the first three games (yes, even origins) but AK was such a frustrating, bland, un-spectacular experience, it might as well had been a just Cause game, it was batman in name only. I think they lost their touch.

But please be making a Superman game, and I'll give you one more chance.

Aren't they making that Damian Wayne as Bats with Bruce guiding him from the cave, game and Montreal making a sequel to Arkham Origins (not a a SS game as hinted in the ending of Origins, but year 2 in Gotham)?

Rocksteady redefined brawling mechanics, would be amazing if they were to take on the Matrix franchise.

If i was speaking purely from an artistic standpoint, id love them to create a new original ip over another movie franchise.

There's no way they get to work on an original IP. It will be either a videogame IP Warner already owns, Lego or something around DC or Lord of the Rings.

Supergirl game pls.

Is currently staging a hunger strike outside Gearbox HQ while trying to hate them to death
It's almost as if they released a major game less than two years ago which got tons of DLC and then a VR game at the end of last year.

This. Right now I would say they are prolific, Arkham VR was fucking brilliant.
