This show basically raised me in the 90's. Absolutely loved it. Still will watch reruns and I think the show holds up well.

It's on Crackle. Did a rewatch after not having seen it since it originally aired, and back then it was my favorite sitcom. I also love the fact that as much as they seem to despise each other, if one person fucks with a Bundy, then that persons ass is toast. lol.

I especially love it in the episode where they plan to drive across country on labor day and get stuck in a traffic jam. Al sings a song which I sing to my son at bedtime, and pisses off another driver:

Married with Children taught me everything I needed to know about women and men to make a good start into adult life. (I'm not even kidding, the main takeaway for me is that women are just the same assholes as men, and that absolutely holds true in my experience)

For me, Katey, Ed, David and Christina still are the best TV Family. Their chemistry and how they play off each other is still unmatched.

Oh, and:

WOOOOOAAAAAAH BUUUUUNDY!!!

Greatness. Al Bundy is a hero among men. Peggy was entertaining

Kelly was a huge crush of mine growing up, and bud was a hilarious freaking loser

Damn shame how they replaced the great sinatra opening song with some generic crap. Hulu or netflix need to put this show up

I think the funniest episode for me was when the Bundys went to the theater for Kelly's birthday

- Al beating the shit out of a patron who dared tell him to shut up
- Al beating the shit out of pre-Buffy David Boreanaz
- Bundys gobbling up all the food at the concession stand
- Al walking into the wrong theater to watch a better movie full of hooters, violence, and no plot
- Bud getting tossed around the theater like a rag doll

And of course all the Bundy fights/beating up Kelly's boyfriends was the stuff of legend. I just about died when Al beat up Bud by accident because he had never brought a girl home and was making out on the couch.

The sweetest moment ever:

"Daddy beat him up" "Of course pumpkin"

"Oh really thank you Dad. Now i will never know his name!"

Yep making fun of chickens is not great anymore.

One of my all time favorites. The jokes and one liners are unmatched.

Got the whole series on DVD, with the original opening. Video quality isn't the greatest and they just reuse the intro music for the seasons, but it's okay...it is still awesome.

Aaron was the best. He was actually great at the job and was a great assistant to Al.

Thankfully this hasn't been true for years about the generic crap song. That was Sony's cheapassness. Mill Creek got the rights from Sony and rereleased the series on DVD with the Sinatra song.

This is the right one. Always make sure it says Mill Creek.

Someone needs to remaster the whole set and release it on Bluray already! aaaarg.
I hate that it's only on DVD.

Oh shit. Thanks for letting me know. And it's so cheap too. Will just end up buying that instead of waiting years for it to come on streaming

Not seen the show in years but I used to love it. Shame it's not on Netflix or something like that, I'd happily watch through the lot

This show could probably never get away with it's jokes today.
Nah, there's worse out there today. The problem is nobody can pull it off like Ed O'Neill and Katey Segal could.

That last season of Roseanne and especially the finale kills a lot of the fun of watching the older eps for me. I remember feeling insulted at the time and I was just a kid lol.
It's even worse now that I know she's genuinely batshit crazy and that's straight from the horse's mouth (don't read her Twitter. Don't do it!).

If you watched it as a kid or a teenager I strongly suggest a rewatch as an adult. This show is even more funny once you can relate a bit.

It captures the tedium and sometimes generally shitty every day grind of life really well and I think it's aged extremely well because of it.

Feels longer actually. But still, its really such an amazing show that sadly, often times it's satire is lost on some.

I'm team Jefferson all the way. Putting Steve as a contrast to Al's pigheadedness is never needed since Al shines on his own.

I've never actually seen how Jefferson arrives and Steve is out. And now I'm curious.

"So you think I'm a loser? Just because I have a stinking job that I hate, a family that doesn't respect me, a whole city that curses the day I was born? Well, that may mean loser to you, but let me tell you something. Every morning when I wake up, I know it's not going to get any better until I go back to sleep again. So I get up, have my watered-down Tang and still-frozen Pop Tart, get in my car with no upholstery, no gas, and six more payments to fight traffic just for the privilege of putting cheap shoes on the cloven hooves of people like you. I'll never play football like I thought I would. I'll never know the touch of a beautiful woman. And I'll never again know the joy of driving without a bag on my head. But I'm not a loser. 'Cause, despite it all, me and every other guy who'll never be what he wanted to be are still out there being what we don't want to be forty hours a week for life. And the fact that I haven't put a gun in my mouth, you pudding of a woman, makes me a winner." -Al Bundy
