I don't understand this mentality. I knew I wanted to play all the new characters regardless of who they are, and I'd assume most people who bought it feel the same way. We're still getting all those characters so there's no real reason to be upset over that.

If you bought the season pass hoping for one or two characters you might like, then yeah, you were an idiot regardless of their delays/plans.

I can't stand not having all the characters accessible in a fighting game even if I don't play them. It's a weird thing with me.

If I was gonna buy the characters anyway, at least this way I save a lot of FM plus get a costume for the character that I might end up playing with.

That is how I am too. Drives me nuts seeing characters on the select screen that I can't access.

I only stick to 1 character throughout every fighter
Don't know why i bought the season pass

Hearing never before played in a SF game got me i guess

I dont want to be blunt about it but If I were to buy the S2 pass, I would be feeling stupid and frustrated right now.

Paying 30$ blindly for contents without knowing exactly what day your getting after 4-5 months + All the update delay is icing on the cake.I know we are getting characters but Its like you don't even know how they play. Why would they put money down without knowing exactly what they are getting?

Nothing has changed since it was introduced. They told us it would be Akuma + 5 brand new characters the moment it was announced. I had no idea who the other 5 were at the time this thing was talked about, but I still threw down money for it. It's not even like just because a character is known doesn't mean we know exactly how they are going to play either. We knew Ibuki was coming in S1, but there are a few Ibuki fans on this forum who refuse to play her because she doesn't have her rekka kicks & slide grab.

On a personal note, I happily gave them the $30 because I knew that I wanted the characters regardless of who they were. And really, thats who the Character Pass is for - the person who is going to get as much of the SFV content package as they can. If you're someone who has to know who the character is or how they play before they throw down money, then by all means, wait until each character releases & check them out at that time.

I hate heavy command grab characters. Its not in my playstyle at all. But if, for some reason, Zangief were to be a DLC character, i'd still buy him, cause I want the total package. We gotta wait for the other characters regardless, so the delay does nothing.

Speaking (or typing) only for myself, I have no reason to feel stupid because I knew that I was going to buy a season pass with brand new characters (Kolin har har har shut up) and that I wanted to buy it.

It's because the opportunity to use a character who's never been playable before. I might actually click with that character if I like them enough. Plus, more content doesn't hurt.

Buying the season pass for anything for like two pieces of DLC is pretty damn dumb.

I bought the SP recently. I was gonna use the FM on the character, but I want all the characters in my fighting game so I can practice and get the trial money off of them. I also want the story stuff, and since I'll be taking my PS4 to locals, I want it all unlocked.

Actually, I bought the KOF characters too, now that I think about it. I'll never touch Whip, but fuck if I'm gonna go without that character.

Y'all some suckas if you didn't realize your situation.

Never ever bought dlc till Lobo in Injustass 1
Opened the gates

What a trash character aswell that needed buffs but it's expected with NRS
DLC guys too weak or too strong(Batgirl in same game) and always needing patches
It's cool they're delaying the update to give Chun an additional buff. Hope it's as good as 5 inputs for legs over 4

The only buff she'll get is a new dress

I remember when Scorpion was DLC for Injustice. Wow.

Hold on to your butts cause it's almost guaranteed that there will be a MK DLC character for Injustice 2.

Boon has stated publicly that the guest characters they've done in Injustice/MKX were the ones that sold the most.

I just hope that they stick to comic characters like Spawn for Injustice 2 instead of going for stupid shit like 6 MK characters.

I didn't even consider buying the characters piecemeal, lol.

Oh, I fully expect a MK character to arrive in I2. Either Sub-Zero, Raiden or Cage. It's as good as done.

I'm personally hoping for Johhny Cage.

He already makes so much fun of Mortal Kombat characters, can't wait for him to rip into Bane or Captain Cold.

Depending on how much I play online, I MIGHT just do that for season 3. Not that I can't afford it but it's getting tougher to justify a 30$ purchase for 6 characters if I end up playing none of them. Already happened with season 1.

At least I have Kolin in season 2.

Eh, I got like 350K FM. More than enough to buy a couple of characters. If I feel like it I can play some more story modes to get more.
I am REEEAAALLLy starting to regret spending money on those colours and story mode costumes for 2-3 characters.

Fuck you Nash, I gave good FM for you but you ended up sucking hard.

At least the rest of the DLC characters will lead to some decent FM.

Yeah, same. Unless S3 brings huge changes, my time in this game is going to drop more significantly than it already has.

Especially if MvC:I is any good.

Fits a huge criteria for you, doesn't he? :p

I only bought one costume for akuma, so that probably helps

Julio actually summed up my feelings on S1 Nash perfectly when he showed up on Excellent Adventures. Nash was a fantastic character to just calm down and focus. It really was a weird, almost zen thing with him when you play a good hit and run style Nash. Controlling both the ground and the air while never having to actually leave the ground felt GREAT.

Now he feels so sluggish that you have to keep attentive 100% of the time.

He really is the most egregious example of Capcom not just making a character VERY low-tier but straight up making him not fun to play which is a horrible thing to do in a fighting game IMO. I see why Bonchan thinks that a bunch of schoolkids did the balancing on the patch cause actual schoolkids might have done the same thing.

Yup, and I say that as a big fan of SF who will probably always consider SFV my main game. I've even started jumping into GG a bit because all the little problems around SFV are starting to sour the experience again.

Dude, when Answer drops, no other fighting game will exist for at least a month
when tekken comes out
.

Injustice 2 is gonna be my jam.

Can't wait to wreck face with Poison Ivy, Green Arrow and Scarecrow!

At least until Tekken 7 comes along then I'm gonna get my face wrecked for a few months till I start to git gud. Claudio and Kazumi are gonna be my characters there.

I desperately want to try Baiken. For now, I'm just trying to experiment with the current cast to see if I can find a character I like, and Leo feels like the easiest so far.

I play Leo, Chipp, and a super shitty Jam right now. For Rev2, I'll learn Answer and Baiken.

Leo is super easy. People hate on him a lot, but I love how simple he is in a game full of convoluted stuff.

To be honest, I'm more excited for T7 than I2. But I'd be ecstatic if a new Soul Calibur ever came out.

SC6 is my dream game.

I'm surprised at how pissed the gear specific moves are making me in I2. I'm probably going to skip at launch. Pick it up if/when we get a complete edition on PC.

lol, yeah, I've heard about the hate he gets. Is it mainly because he's a heavy mixup character, or is there more to it?

SFV, Tekken, and Gundam for me. I think that's all I can really do right now. I'd love to add GG to my roster but there's so much to learn and I never gel with anime fighters. I respect that every character is vastly different tho.

Just whining, imo. It's because his buttons are really good and he does a lot of damage. Super easy to zone him out, though.

EVO...two years ago, I played somebody I see commentating a ton of matches. I forget his name. He was talking shit the entire time we were playing because he kept getting mixed up. I had his tension so high that when I got a throw, it was a counter hit throw.

I didn't even know that could happen.

Then after he beats me in a close set, he starts talking shit about Leo to one of his friends by the setup.

Whiny bitch.

I really want to start playing GG, but it's one of those games I never play for more than 20 mins every once in awhile. It has nothing to do with the game because it's gorgeous and feels smooth. I just really need to sit down with the game and actually play it.

Yeah, the gear system has me wary.

If that Gundam game actually comes to the West, I'll check it out.

What's wrong with them

Not usable in online ranked or in tournament play since they're abilities that are used as gear slots and aren't unlocked automatically for everyone to use. The visual customization is still in play in those situations but no gear stat changes or ability changes.

So the only place you're gonna use them realistically is casual online or in single player stuff.
