Get Tom Hanks into one of those motion capture suits. :D

Make it a prequel to SPR. We follow John H. Millers journey. Starting out as an inexperienced school teacher we follow him all the way through being promoted to captain in the rangers and getting assigned in at the first wave at Omaha.

I don't really care about what particular setting it is, I just hope it won't limit the variety of guns, customizations, perks and killstreaks in MP. It's the main reason I continue to play COD every year instead of other MP games.

I hope they do. I would hate if i see pink stickers on old ass WW2 guns or scopes

Yeah but his statement specifically said thirst for a boots on the ground in historical setting, ignoring that BO2 isn't historical lol.

Half of the campaign is still some epic Cold War scenarios.

The game is all about how our history affects the present, in both the plot and the characters themselves.

Advanced Warfare is my favourite of the current gen Call of Duty games so I'm pretty excited to see what Sledgehammer's been working on. At the very least the campaign should be great, and the change in setting is welcome after three consecutive futuristic titles.

Who plays cod for the campaign? It's mostly for the multiplayer and the zombies eh if the starting first free zombie map is good then it's worthy like IW that one was pretty good, BO3's zombies was terrible

About damn time they got rid of the stupid exo suits / jetpacks. I'm looking forward to a CoD game now for the first time since like BLOPS2.

For like what, a few missions? Plus all those people are playing it for the MP which is solely in 2025.

Half the missions, Its a mix of both historic and boots on the ground (in MP) why people love playing it again. Its a good game also offcourse.

After the massive let down that was Black Ops 3 and skipping Infinite Warfare after bad times with Ghosts and MW3. Sledgehammer Games' next entry hopefully has got something good going on.

Nope, I can't take any WW2 games anymore, they just need to stay in our actual times like Ghost Recon and shit, too futuristic is crap but biased past is it too, just make a game that is supposed to be in our times but in non existing countries.

Oh hey, it's that BiA: Hell's Highway pose.

Red Orchestra 2's the only FPS with a German 'campaign' (being generous here) that I can think of off the top of my head. I can understand the desire to shy away from it.

I only played a bit of the single player, seemed more like bots on multiplayer maps tbh, but maybe I'll give it another go.

And I'm not arguing that, it's just the statement doesn't really make sense since people playing BO2 for the MP, which is set in the future. So saying that their playing the MP of BO2 to show their thirst for a historical setting doesn't make sense unless they're all playing it for the historical SP missions.

Not a fan of the setting. Will probably only play this at a friends place. And maybe pick it up when it's really cheap down the line if the campaign is any good.

But still, even though I'm personally not interested, it'd be cool to have each of the three studios working on different eras.

Let Sledgehammer do the past.
Let Treyarch handle the modern/future.

Infinity Ward could... maybe try something different each time till something clicks.

Hated future CODs and CoD2 remains my favourite Call of Duty to this day. Playing on the 360 was incredible. Can't wait to see what this brings!

I haven't played Call of Duty since Call of Duty 3 which released 2006. The futuristic setting of recent entries in the series I do not find that intriguing, but a return to the battlefields of the Second World War I find quite interesting. Single player should be good, I just hope they simplify multiplayer and remove all superfluous HUD elements.

I play CoD for the campaign and hate zombies ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Will temper my expectations, I'm expecting an enjoyable campaign (AW was very enjoyable) and potentially a good multiplayer game, what concerns me is the micro transactions and how shady they will be about it and how much will be hidden then dropped on us come January.

Companies have been pretty progressive recently with their DLC models, how Activision handle it will be of great interest to me.

Last game this studio made was Advance Warfare

Yeah I agree with ya, I thought Advanced Warfare's campaign was mediocre at best, and boring as shit at its worst. I put most of my 100+ hours worth of playtime into the multiplayer, and dear god it was absolute shit. I only played it really because it was the only CoD available besides Ghosts on PS4.

This is coming from someone who's played every single CoD from 4 onward extensively (except Infinite Warfare, fuck that shit). Black Ops 3 had a genuinely great multiplayer, but AW's was shit. The movement in AW is so janky and awful paired with the garbage netcode, all you had to do on console when you are getting shot at, was jump up in the air and you'd basically be undetectable... if the shitty netcode didn't already have you dead anyway.

A mediocre single player that was slightly better than BO3's single player (but that's the only thing AW did better lol) didn't make it a good game at all. But I hope Sledgehammer learned their lessons from AW, cause I want this new CoD to be great.

'Sup homie

BO3's zombies is also the best it's been.

Good.

I've always preferred the more grounded historical settings for COD.

If I wanted jetpacks and wallrunning I'd play Titanfall.

I'm hyped

Sledgehammer is a talented studio, this has the potential to be amazing.

Talented in what sense? MW3 paled in comparison to Black Ops or MW2 and Advanced Warfare wasn't that great either. With the destruction of Infinity Ward, only Treyarch is their last capable studio.

Haven't been interested in CoD in a while and that name is generic af lol.

But if this comes out for Switch it'll be day 1 for me. I NEED a solid portable FPS badly.

Lawl. Not even true. Treyarch basically killed their trust with the fucking abysmal BO3 campaign and Infinity Ward has actually gained a lot of points for its great SP with IW and has been a lot of cool community stuff.

Treyarch is super overrated.

People who've been with the series from the beginning, and know COD for its classic campaigns first and foremost, and hope to see the glory of those days return.
