There's no auto health regen! http://www.polygon.com/features/2017/4/26/15428192/call-of-duty-wwii-impressions-analysis-preview

"Schofield won't talk about the health system yet, but auto-restoration is not happening. Reading between the lines, I gather that med-packs are the likely solution, perhaps even called for from medics, rather than just sitting around.

"You have to worry about every bullet," says Schofield. "You're not the superhero. You can't just stand there taking seven bullets, ducking, shooting again. It's refreshing for us to deal with recruits who aren't tier-one warriors, to show that vulnerability. They're naive. It's been a really cool challenge creating this different kind of gameplay."

Ok, NOW I'm interested.

This is blatantly single player only, no way they do this in multiplayer.

Call of Duty®: WWII’s co-operative mode unleashes a new and original story, in this next-level standalone game experience full of unexpected, adrenaline-pumping moments.

Wonder what type of story they plan to do for the co-op mode of the game. No details have been announced.

Damn. Why the hell didn't they say anything about this in their many scripted answers? This is the kind of stuff that gives backing to all the "back to the roots" talk.

A challenge creating this "different" kind of gameplay?

Interesting how they say that as though the original Call of Duty never existed.

Can anyone zoom and enhance and see if there are any women or PoC there?

Why there would be women soldiers? Outside of few Russian battalions that barely saw any combat women as soldiers really wasn't a thing in WW2.

"But it's just game, do what ever!" argument can be made, but same time one can respect if devs want do some era authenticity.

This has to be a dynamic lobby or something like that, I don't buy it.

Whats going to happen on the stream? Watching it now and theres like 10 minutes left till some sort of reveal, hopefully gameplay? They just said on the stream that they have been waiting for years to do this game because they couldnt do it without current day tech lol. Like somehow this wasnt possible on the Xbox360.

Trailer was great though btw, totally day 1 (
rental
) for me! So hyped.

Doesn't seem to be related to the multiplayer section.

I'm good with that change in single player though.

It'll be so awkward witnessing that shit in a virtual recreation of the horrible Normandy beach landings.

*Your character loads into a life-like recreation of Omaha Beach after the D-Day Landings. Screams can be heard in the distance from wounded men, the smoke from nearby fires still billows in the air*

*You look around, and see someone in front of you*

*xXnoobslayerXx dabs with the gesture he paid $2 for then calls you the n-word*

In the campaign sure, but not in the multiplayer. Not anymore. Authenticity isn't an excuse. The past four games plus Modern Warfare Remastered let you choose.

Authenticity as an excuse is one of the most hypocritical bullshit responses you can have.

Also from the Polygon article:

"Although Red is your primary character in the game, you do play as other fighters. Sledgehammer is pretty vague on this aspect of the story at this point, but there are sections in which vehicles are used, and this is likely the trigger for stepping into other people's shoes."

"In Divisions, the player creates a class and progresses through the ranks. This affords an option to choose the kind of division you want to join, whether that be infantry, airborne or armored. Players are also given a range of options in terms of the part they play, including women resistance fighters, Brits, African-American GIs and others to be announced."

There at least will be a female resistance member (or leader?) in the campaign. Probably only an NPC sadly, but I wouldn't mind some resistance levels.

Live stream reveals aren't the most exciting. Battlefront 2 reveal wasn't all that. It had a good trailer. But the info released afterwards hyped me up.

I expect we'll get snippets of info soon.

Yeah. It would be ridiculous to have a segment on authenticity and then include regular women soldiers in D-Day.

From what was told, there will be a female resistance fighter.

I wonder if this just the zombies mode or something different.

I'd wager it will be different, but not too sure.

Call of Duty: WWII Multiplayer combat immerses players in grounded, fast-paced action featuring an arsenal of authentic weapons and equipment, set in some of the most iconic locations in World War II’s European theater. Multiplayer also delivers a new approach to character and create-a-class through Divisions, War, an all-new narrative multiplayer mode of play, and Headquarters, a first of its kind for the Call of Duty social community, designed for players to interact and socialize with friends. The definitive World War II next generation experience also introduces Nazi Zombies, an all-new cooperative mode featuring a unique standalone storyline set during World War II that’s full of unexpected, adrenaline-pumping action. Look for more information about Multiplayer at E3 and the Nazi Zombies cooperative experience at a later date.
