I'll never understand the appeal of the Zombies mode or endless wave survival modes in CoD. I've never finished a Zombies mode cause after like 45mins I get sick of it and you can't even save your progress so it pretty pointless to me. Spec Ops from MW2 on the other hand is still one of the best co-op gaming experiences of my life.
Talks like someone who hasn't done the easter eggs

There's no auto health regen! http://www.polygon.com/features/2017/4/26/15428192/call-of-duty-wwii-impressions-analysis-preview

"Schofield won't talk about the health system yet, but auto-restoration is not happening. Reading between the lines, I gather that med-packs are the likely solution, perhaps even called for from medics, rather than just sitting around.

"You have to worry about every bullet," says Schofield. "You're not the superhero. You can't just stand there taking seven bullets, ducking, shooting again. It's refreshing for us to deal with recruits who aren't tier-one warriors, to show that vulnerability. They're naive. It's been a really cool challenge creating this different kind of gameplay."

Even for something as seemingly small as this, this is would be the BIGGEST series change up since customizeable perks. Very excited if true

This is definitely a surprise.

In the campaign sure, but not in the multiplayer. Not anymore. Authenticity isn't an excuse. The past four games plus Modern Warfare Remastered let you choose.

Authenticity as an excuse is one of the most hypocritical bullshit responses you can have.

Does it really make any difference? When do you ever see your character in a MP FPS?

It just seems like one of those details that's so minute, it isn't even worth discussing unless you're just looking to make a mountain out of a molehill.

*You character loads into a life-like recreation of Omaha Beach after the D-Day Landings. Screams can be heard in the distance from wounded men, the smoke from nearby fires still billows in the air*

*You look around, and see someone in front of you*

*xXnoobslayerXx dabs with the gesture he paid $200 in CoD points and supply drops for then calls you the n-word*

Well, it certainly looked like a COD game.

Trailer was awful, reminded me of that Liam Neeson gif from Taken 3. How about just letting the scene set itself instead of this jump cut nonsense.

I predict Destiny 2 will sell more than CoD.

Considering the number of people saying this will be their first CoD in who knows how long, highly doubt it.

And people thought Battlefield 1's WW1 atmosphere and IW's one of the highest thumbs down YouTube videos would have taken down COD last year.

Destiny 2 is already poised to outsell Call of Duty this year. Preorders for the retail Limited Edition were sold out in a couple hours and the 249.99 collectors edition as well was sold out in a day.

Not to mention there were over 9 Million copies of the original Destiny game pre-taken king sold.

Call of duty will get dethroned this year.

Like to know why you think that when so far from what I'v heard from managers at my local gamestops and Bestbuy is they sold out on the collectors edition and Limited edition(gaemstop only) in first few hours of preorder.

Destiny's player base grew and retained players over the coarse of 2-3 years unlike Call of Duty's which has been all over the place.

Also from the Polygon article:

"Although Red is your primary character in the game, you do play as other fighters. Sledgehammer is pretty vague on this aspect of the story at this point, but there are sections in which vehicles are used, and this is likely the trigger for stepping into other people's shoes."

"In Divisions, the player creates a class and progresses through the ranks. This affords an option to choose the kind of division you want to join, whether that be infantry, airborne or armored. Players are also given a range of options in terms of the part they play, including women resistance fighters, Brits, African-American GIs and others to be announced."
Thank goodness.

They just said on the stream that you'll cross-paths with an African-American platoon and will "see how they were treated".

Destiny streams get 30k people watching Bungie talk about a rewards book (something very innocuous). People are dying for D2 and it will be glorious. Activision knows this as well.

Gotta get a slice of that BF1 pie!

Though looking back, it's almost comical how little African Americans were featured in that game despite the Harlem Hellfighters being so prominently featured in the marketing materials.

And what do you do about the people that don't care about WW2 settings or people that won't buy it cause it looks like shit ? I'm already sure I won't buy it and I'm sure I'm not alone.

Imagine thinking destiny 2 is gonna outsell call of duty

For 2017? I don't think that's crazy. It'll be out 4 months as opposed to 2 and, as I said, will likely have the biggest game launch this year.

Not saying in the long run but you're downplaying how huge Destiny is.

Not sure how that translates into Destiny knocking off Call of Duty considering I was one of those people watching the Destiny stream out of morbid curiosity seeing how they were going to close the coffin on the original Destiny.

Yeah, BF1 didn't do jackshit with that. It got them a lot of attention though.

Anyway, I remember watching some documentary on black soldiers in WW2 on the Military Channel (now American Heroes Channel) and they talked about how they were treated better by the nazi's after being captured than they were by their own military leaders.
