If you haven't played any vn this is an ok-ish, albeit intimidating place to start providing you can commit to a 25-35 hour experience depending on your reading speed.

While I agree with you more people should read Fata Morgana, there are better games in the genre to start with:

On the account of both being 100% free.
(After you played them and you know you will enjoy the genre, Fata Morgana
and Umineko
should be next though).

That Alan Wake price is too good for me to pass up (especially since it's being removed soon).
Will give it a try once I finish my current run of DS2.

The world must be ending, Groupees has a decent bundle.

Bah, I'm off to the Pub. Will look it up on my phone.

Is impossible to buy a gift of a game and put it in your inventory now?

Yeah pretty much. Look up the new gifting policy on Steam. Seems set on curbing resellers / hoarders of low priced stuff / key madness. Still it could change as with everything

Missed the new gifting policy? Yeah they killed that part

That's messed up. What purpose does that serve?

Ah, I see. A real bummer. I was going to put some Alan Wakes in my inventory in case my friends haven't played them yet, but I guess that's out of the question.

How do I fix this?

This seems to be a problem with pixelvision2 as well, time to update.

In theory, could you not simply do the same with keys via somewhere like Humble and save the keys for later? You can still add keys as normal, whenever you want on Steam. A while back I was giving away OG Prey keys I accumulated - not for sale on Steam but always available to be claimed if you have key

As much as i like Katawa Shoujo it's still one of those visual novels where you go through different routes and get a different waifu at the end. Some people seem to think that all visual novels are like that. CUPID looks neat, i'll have to try that
and Umineko
some time.
But yes, absolutley try one of the many free ones out there to see if you can get over the mental hurdle of playing a novel first.

Alan Wake is one of those games that took me a while to get the fun of, but it turned into one of my favourite third person shooters. The game does a disservice locking out the Nightmare difficulty from the start (but you can unlock it from the start using the -developermenu launch option) because that's when I truly feel the flashlight combat mechanics start making sense. On the lower difficulties it just feels like an unnecessary buffer to when you can actually start damaging enemies.

Subaru, Mountain Dew, and HTC are all running their own separate CSGO tournaments simultaneously right now. You'd think at least one of them would have thought to reschedule so as to not dig into the exact same preoccupied audience.

Beat Prey last night. Toying with doing a murder all run.

Bethesda is firing out these solid SP experiences.

That anime scene with the brother brushing his sister's teeth. It was odd...and he posted like 5 or 6 gifs of it. But is that what got him banned?

I mean, isn't that normal behavior for him?

OK so, main quest-wise, I seem to be in the last 20-25% of Hollow Knight. The backtracking really takes up a chunk of a playthrough in this game...

I think there was also some lewd ice cream anime gif. Someone got banned for posting that in the past too, if I remember correctly. Might actually be him too, lol.

When I close Steam it doesn't show in the notification area, but it's still open because it doesn't load everytime. Any solution?

EDIT: Solved, I just had to finish the task with the task manager and open it again.

Last chance for Valve to finally unveil Half-Life 3 this E3. If they gonna miss it this time, they will never show it.

Well even if they don't have any Half-Life 3 news it would still be nice of them to show up at E3. Seeing how Gabe confirmed they are working on 3 VR games.

Finished Senran Kagura "1" with all achievements.
Finished Firewatch with all achievements a few days ago and Inside before that and before that Turing Test.

I think I will continue Abzu tomorrow and then maybe start Aragami.

I want to really like Octodad. I do. I do actually enjoy it somewhat, as it's pretty amusing. But these controls. Fuck.

Doesn't help that a large portion of the puzzles/scenarios so far revolve around not smacking into objects, when you're an octopus with these wonky ass controls (that do fit the game, it's just... UGH). Or climbing shit. Or playing little games.

The whole team of writers have left during the last year or so.

They might show L4D3 or something this year (not talking about E3) but HL3 is not happening.
