Confessions That Destroy Your Gamer Credibility

Zelda is alright

Sports games can be really fun

Games should be very accessible. If your game is hard to get into and play, you can do better as a developer/designer.

I've only ever beaten Viewtiful Joe and Wonderful 101 on Easy.

I use walkthroughs for almost every game I play because I'm paranoid about missing items, collectibles, or secret areas and events.

Breath of the Wild is the first 3D Zelda that I managed to finish (one of my all time favorites now). I've tried all of them over the years but none of them hooked me. 2D Zelda is where my fondness for the series typically goes.

I think that Mass Effect 2 sucks in comparison to the original
and 3.

- I haven't owned a Nintendo console since the N64.

- I refuse to buy a modern console due to multiplayer subscriptions and games that aren't appealing to me.

- I have never and likely will never play a Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest game (or most rpgs in general, frankly).

- I cant stand most NES era games.

And the list goes on.

I've never owned any other Mario game outside of Mario Kart 8. It's never been intentional on my part, it just never quite... happened? Hopefully Super Mario Odyssey will help to make amends for my dark past.

...I feel like my Nintendo consoles and portables glare at me in judgement. (I was a Pokemon kid, okay.)

I have very little patience for game systems that don't immediately click. This means I hate things like Baldur's Gate and such.

Anything with real depth of gameplay kind of just pushes me away. Guess that's why I like jrpgs so much.

Difficulty isn't the issue, I play plenty of hard games. But if some aspect of the UI gets in my way or a system demands too much of my time to figure out I usually just drop it.

It took me 3 years to get past the first level of Goldeneye because I didnt know the B button opened the gate to get onto the bridge.

Twilight Princess is the best game ever imo.

Only play Nintendo and Sony consoles but i wil fix that and get a xbox one or scropio depends on e3 wich i will get.

I enjoyed Lords of Shadow 2 and thought it was pretty good for a Castlevania game i love both tjmhe original/classic and the reboot Castlevania games.

I'm more excited about a game releasing than actually playing them. I get really excited when a game is announced, follow the coverage for years, get really hype at any ounce of info released (leaks, controversy, etc.) and when the game finally drops... I move on to the next unreleased game.

Also the only Final Fantasy I managed to finish (despite having them all) was XIII.

I think this confirms you "gamer" credibility

I LOVED Hitman: Absolution and I think it's even better than most of the games in the Hitman series aside from Blood Money.

Gaming... Credibility.

I wasn't aware I was a reporter or something.
This honestly seems preposterous.

I just... play games I like?

I don't really care about gamer credibility, but I imagine some would care that I'm pretty sure I've played and beaten every stylish action game I've tried on the easiest difficulty level available.

I still didn't play all of Witcher 3. In fact I haven't beaten any of the Witchers even though I own them all. The gameplay just doesn't hold my attention long enough for me to get through them all the way.

I've never beaten Sonic 2 without cheats

I Gamesharked my way through Pokemon Gold

I couldn't figure out the underwater sign maze in Majora's Mask so i bought the strategy guide

I don't like Super Mario 64
I mean, I don't think it's bad and I can apreciate what it did for the industry as a whole. But never felt like a Mario game to me. I always called it "some other game with a Mario skin".
In turn, I was super excited for 3D Land and 3D World, and called them "what SM64 should've been from the beginning"
I feel something similar about the Uncharted series. I can apreciate what they do, but I don't think they're for me. Because of that, I never even tried TLOU

I didn't like wow and have never tried gta.

I've only played the ds port of Mario 64 and like sunshine, 3d world and the galaxies more

Super Metroid is my absolute favourite game ever, yet I've never completed it 100%.

Totally. 3D land and World are the "true" 3D Mario Games in my opinion. I still like Mario 64 and the Galaxy games though.

You reminded me of something. I never beat a single campaign of Twisted Metal (1-3) without cheats. I "God Mode"'d my way through that series (also infinite ammo) same with Serious Sam.

When I was 15, I worked at a pizza place 5 days a week in the summer. Took my weekly pay, and spent most of it on Nexon Cash for Maple Story.
