ScorpioHopefully they don't exist.
You should've already cancelled on account of the dreadful 30fps videos they've put out. Come on man, surely the gameplay is more important? Loads of games run at 30.If that's really the case, these devs are assholes. Let me pick if I want to play 60 fps or not.
I'm cancelling my preorder if they don't fix this shit.
If a game like this is not 60FPS, then my impression is that the developers simply don't care about gameplay.
Hopefully they don't exist.
Port begging to why isn't Sony making this 60fps lolll
Disappointing, but given all the post-fx etc going on, Jaguar CPU probably just can't handle it. Would be curious how much the frame rate could be boosted if they sat the Pro version at 1080p res.
Most people won't notice the difference between 30fps and 60fps once they start playing.
Actually, what is the point of 60fps anyway?
Fur-K.
Like 4K.
But.
Fuzzier!
And if it sells well they'll make the new Crash game 30fps too because the fans are okay with it. Maybe bad sales and lots of complaints will push them to consider 60fps for the next game?I never beg but for those of you cancelling preorders over this news I urge you to reconsider. The entire future of the Crash Bandicoot franchise rests on this game becoming successful. If it doesn't Crash is pretty much done
What a complete joke. If there's a kind of game that benefits from 60fps it's this one.
You can go above 30fps with ePSX for christ sake and the difference is night and day.
Haha Nope Scorpio will not be some magical box that you can throw anything in and it pops out at 60fps the other end. The CPU is a fraction better than Pro. It may have better effects and full 4k but 60fps lolnah son. I want this on Scorpio, even a year later. hopefully 4k/60
OkLol 30 FPS?
Im getting Scorpio and I dont Even Care. I wouldnt buy it. I have my Wii U and switch and 3ds for those kinda games
Now what I am surprised at is the resolution only going from 1080p to 1440p. Considering this is at least being developed first and foremost for the PS4, and that it's simply not the most visually impressive game on the market, it kind of feels like that jump should have at least been up to 1800p like many other titles manage.
You probably wouldn't be that thrilled about playing a 15fps platformer. Someone who is used to 60 instead of 30 is going to feel the same way.I hate to make this my hill to die on, but I genuinely never understood the fixation with 60 frames over 30 especially if the 30 is locked and performs well. This isn't a "I need to defend Crash" thing, this is a "I don't understand how you can watch the gameplay videos, like what you see, and then decide not to play it for an arbitrary reason." thing.
And to be real, I wish I had the insight some of you seem to have into how this game was structured, coded, how the levels are loaded or chunked out, what kind of things they needed to do for performance, etc. Because clearly some of you know exactly how they made the game, and how it's handled by the hardware, and have come to the conclusion that they're, for some ungodly reason, withholding this mystical 60fps target for no reason? What a scandal.
^ Activision.
He rescinded that later. It was from a different nearby booth.
What O_OHopefully they don't exist.
Explain please? If the OG Crash games were locked to 30 FPS, how can the emu unlock the FPS? Any chance of showing footage of it if possible?
I never beg but for those of you cancelling preorders over this news I urge you to reconsider. The entire future of the Crash Bandicoot franchise rests on this game becoming successful. If it doesn't Crash is pretty much done and Vicarious Visions becomes a Destiny DLC factory forever and if Crash ever does come back it will be in the form of something extremely unappealing to fans (See Spyro Skylanders and Sonic Boom).
I played this game at length at PSX and it was a pure joy to play and that wasn't even the final build. I really don't believe anyone will feel like they wasted $40 on this game its extremely well done.
nah son. I want this on Scorpio, even a year later. hopefully 4k/60
What O_O
Is this coming to Xbox though? I mean ND made these games. Then again, Acti owns them.
Which were also 30fps, enjoy.Guess I'll stick with the PS1 versions, then.
Is this coming to Xbox though? I mean ND made these games. Then again, Acti owns them.
So I'm guessing they kept it 30 fps to have it perform nearly the same way as the old versions eh?

I think they should give the Pro users options whether using it a Native 1080@60 , Native 1440@30 or 4K@30 w/ Checkerboarding
Fucking hell that's hyperbole. You probably wouldn't be that thrilled about playing a 15fps platformer. Someone who is used to 60 instead of 30 is going to feel the same way.
If the original was 30. Ya'll are really trippin lol
