Anthem (PC/XB1/PS4, EA/BioWare, Fall 2018) announced, full reveal at Microsoft conf

Not looking forward to it yet, but I hope it does well so Dragon Age can hurry up. In a way I'm ok with DA taking a bit longer. Maybe it'll be better for it, and next gen instead of current. But that would mean we didn't get a full current gen only DA. After the last Mass Effect, I'm ok with that though (didn't play it, but from how it looked).
If Anthem is really a Spring 2018 title, then I see DA4 launching mid-to-late 2019 as a pretty safe bet. I think chances are good that we will see another Dragon Age before 2020.

Yep. If this holds true, it'll be remarkable how many Dragon Age fans pegged it right back in 2014-15 when Inquisition was fresh and "2019" was a popular pick for a sequel.

I guess Bioware Montreal's claims that Edmonton would periodically take stuff from development of ME:A was true.

Hmmmm I don't see the destiny comparisons. Also lool if any of MS exclusive post were legit.
Why does this seem to matter so much to people.
It's just another discussion topic some people find interesting. You doesn't have to matter to people for them to have an interest in discussing it.

Destiny is about humanity building a wall to protect itself from the horrors beyond and sends armored warriors out to fend them off, which is the same setup that Anthem is using. Even before the reveal, Dylan was constantly touted as Bioware and EA's answer to Destiny.

It premiering at the Microsoft event draws even more association to Destiny in that since Microsoft missed the boat on exclusivity and marketing rights to Destiny that they may want Anthem to be "their Destiny", so they will be the only ones to market it and kick money to EA to get exclusive goodies made for it (for one year maybe).

I'm actually kind of surprised we're actually getting gameplay tomorrow. Didn't they delay this game until late next year or even longer?

But it's going to be similar to Destiny but with more focus on story? Hopefully they show actual Scorpio footage. MS doesn't usually have that do they? Things like "all captured from Xbox One."?

With the way Mass Effect: Andromeda kept itself hidden until six months from release, it's good to get an actual feel of the game sooner.

Wait wait wait?

You have Jetpacks in this game...and they actually work like...jetpacks that let you FLY rather then the stupid "hover" that almost every game does???

Yes, instant buy!

Was delayed until at least spring 2018

Oh man I completely agree with that.

I just read on previous page it's planned for Spring next year. Sounds good but yeah we'll see. Games get delayed so easily nowadays, and they already did delay it once.

It was delayed into FY2019,which means April 2018 through March 2019. This actually tracks with the alleged Spring 2018 release listed on the YouTube channel, although I'm anticipating a delay into Fall 2018, personally.

Destiny didn't create this cliche. Its a common setup in fantasy/sci fi.

Armored heroes setting out to protect humanity from "the horrors beyond" describes almost everything ever.

The game obviously will have structural similarities to destiny, but i dont see how anyone can look at this trailer and get Destiny vibes.

I'm actually hyped. If I had to make a guess, it looks like this last bastion of civilization is hidden behind the wall here with the constant threat of the monster we saw here and other beasts.

To fight them off they created these mech suits in which to do battle.

I'm expecting a third person view action title with a solid story seeing who they have writing it.

Can't wait to see it tomorrow at MS' conference.😁

Like the name. You have my attention.

If it really is EA's answer to destiny and the gunplay is as smooth as Titanfall, I'm all in.

And like Iron Man. Fucking awesome indeed.

Yeah same here man. But if it does make Spring that would be great. But first let's see the game tomorrow before even looking forward to it. It's time for BioWare to shine again. Been a while.

EA/Bioware start out trying to be "Bob Dylan" and then name their game after a Good Charlotte song. Good going everyone. While I'm almost certain it wont be the "Bob Dylan" of video games, it looks likely to live upto its name as the Joel Madden of gaming.

Ps. If you are going to be this obvious, why not just call it "Density"

If it's 4 person teams over 3, I'm already more excited for it than Destiny 2.

Next I hope it's just one world cutting out the endless waiting of Destiny 1 staring at my ship "moving" through space.
