Would he really put his credibility on the line for a play?
Thats what MS does, they are awful at all this stuff. If that were true, then that would be a pretty low brow bait and switch.
That "Unless something changes today" tells me something will magically change today to make the actual $399 price point look a lot more appealing.

Exactly. It's got a lot of bells and whistles.I expected this or more. They are pumping this thing as a premium powerhouse. Why on earth would they sell that for $399.
Why is Geoff leaking?
is he going by thr rehearsal price?
Im completely in this camp.
Microsoft seems wry aware of the hardcore.
The digital foundry reveal. The leaking of info via Windows 10 code releases. Theyre probably lurking Reddit and neogaf as we speak.
Im still saying $399

The dude makes a living by being funded by the big 3 to make award shows and this E3 show too. He isn't going to make a massive leak like this without having approval from higher ups at Microsoft.
This is a Hideo Kojima level play. It's all been leading to $399.
Ever since they first announced it I've had no clue why they think making another Xbone with slightly prettier graphics is a good idea, this only heightens my confusion.
Why does Pachter think a $500 Scorpio in Fall will make Sony cut the PS4 Pro price tomorrow?
You don't have to defend this. LOL$499 isn't that much, if you're asking a company to try to deliver a VR ready, 4K ready, with high textures console that is still somewhat affordable. A consumer grade entry graphics card for VR is in the $200-230 range for either the GTX 1060 or Radeon 480/580. That's almost half the price MS is trying to price the Scoripo and you still have to figure out how to get the CPU, PSU, motherboard etc. all together for $499.
If you think the price is too high, order when it reaches a price that is comfortable for you.

I never understand Neogaf, you spend this much on headphones and a pair of jeans, but when it's for a 6 teraflop games console, with 10gb ram and a 4k blu-ray drive, the sky has fallen in.
Microsoft is gauging our reactions now.
This is our chance!
