Guys, make sure you have at least $100 in your account from now until....early October.

Don't give Walmart/Target any excuse to cancel.

Yikes. I have two preordered from Wal-Mart. Separate orders, from the two separate times they went up. Hopefully mine come out just fine.

They're under different names also; under "Super NES Classic Edition (Universal)" and "Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Classic Edition."

The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Dr. Pavel here. But only one of you!
I have 2 single orders because the first order didn't immediately register. Now I'm paranoid. I don't want to risk cancelling one of them now because I know that's asking for trouble too.

Walmart always has that blue button that says "request cancellation" is that what you are talking about? It doesn't mean its being cancelled.

edit: Oh I see you got a email too! Did you have multiples ordered?

So I ordered from Target on the 22nd. I had a pre-authorization charge and then it dropped off on the 26th I believe. So today I am at Walgreens and my card gets declined and of course I am wondering what the hell is going on. I log onto my bank account and see the pre-authorization charge again. I called Target and customer service told me they will be doing a 7-10 day cycle of pre-authorization charges until the item ships. I asked them if this cycling pre-authorization charges is normal for pre-orders because I have never experienced this in the past and they hung up on me. So I guess everyone who pre-ordered needs to have the balance due constantly in their checking account or their order will be canceled.

This shit is ridiculous and when it comes down to it, it all falls on Nintendo. If my order gets canceled I am done with Nintendo and Target for that matter.

My order of 4 is still preparing. I did get 3 emails saying the shipment would be split up in to 3 shipments (Got that email on the 28th).

EDIT: Ordered from Walmart.

All this Walmart/Target/Amazon drama makes me wonder if Best Buy is just going to coast along without any funny business or if they're waiting for the spectacular final blow...

The button was gone and there was a yellow or green status that says cancellation requested and that they'll try best to cancel it.

I had two orders with one qty each. Both goners now.

I have two orders in for 1 each I'd cancel one if I thought it would help I only placed 2 so I had back up. Fucking walmart there were no limits originally now they are coming back instituting one.

I think Best Buy is the safest at this point. Everyone who ordered more than three got all their excess orders cancelled except for the three.

Oh I didn't even know that happened. I have two ordered, one associated with an account, the other without, so I guess that missed me.

Maybe they will sell all the cancellations from Nintendo trucks like they stealth sold the NES Classic

I had two orders in one each the last one was the random one that went live recently I cancelled it myself to see if I can save the first one. Hopefully with just 1 total ordered I'll make it but oh well I'm getting sick of all the BS with this.

Walmart had the listing up from the first SNES drop just showing that be notified button. Now the page is completely removed I guess while they are doing these cancellations. It was there just 20min ago while I was checking my orders.

How does Target's preorder policy fall on Nintendo? If that was the case, every retailer would act the same.

This isn't really Target thing. All retailers do multiple pre-authorizations for pre-orders until it ships/releases.

a good friend alerts the third party, imo. the rest is up to them. think of the airplane safety video gas mask, help urself before assisting others.

I'm so annoyed right now. I don't even care about the Classic SNES itself (although my GF does) but as someone who also works at a major retail chain how the fuck does shit like this happen, and then they e-mail us saying it has to do with their "Terms of Use" instead "Hey we fucked up here's a 10% off coupon".

Honestly. Just got the e-mail myself. Luckily have 1 single order still pending, but who knows what will happen to that one.

Just a lucky guess too but maybe they wouldn't of had this problem had they not included the drop down QTY box allowing people to order UP TO TEN OF THEM. So instead single orders have to suffer as well. And I was on the shitter taking the most perfect double tapered poo of the year and they completely ruined that as well.

Yup. I can confirm that the desktop and app links are both down for Walmart.

Today will be the day we find out if our pre-orders are legit.
