The irony is that the majority of the Dreamers are better spoken and better human beings than the current president.

Trump is probably Googling half the words Obama used because he doesn't understand them.

Good. I do not support illegal immigration at all but, ending DACA is a slap in the fave to every American. Trump should be impeached for this.

Gah, thank you for posting this OP. I just saw the Trump NASA thread and wanted to scream, aside from already being pissed about Trump's decision with DACA. Feels a little better knowing Obama isn't just gone forever. Hopefully he'll make a comeback in some way.

Trump actually makes me feel sick. Never been so heated about a US president before, not even Bush.

Even worse that I have to see some family members once in a while that support Trump. Sometimes I want to cut their faces off lol

i'm not american so i don't know much about it but, judging by this letter, this ending of daca is by far the most directly hurtful thing trump's done so far. so, what are options of the 800,000 new adults who now find out that their path to citizenship has been revoked?

Very well said by Obama. I'm glad he spoke out on this issue. As this one is cruel and may get overlooked. I wonder if Trump did this to get a response from Obama. Trump has been trying to get his attention for a while. I also find it interesting that Obama's letter to Trump leaked before he issued his response. Curious if it was a calculated move so that people couldn't claim Obama is being mean to Trump and being disorderly.

God damn it. Why does the 22nd amendment have to be a thing? Why can't this man still be our President, and why are we stuck with the one we currently have instead? All rhetorical questions of course, but still. God, I miss having a sane President who actually has even an iota of empathy in his body. :(

Look at it this way:

The 22nd Amendment prevents Donald Trump from being President more than two terms also.

Gotta take the good short term to prevent the bad long term.

Obama probably typed that up last night or this morning.

It would take Donald Trump's entire STAFF to type something like that up over a week. And then Donald would go over it, cross out sentences and randomly insert "my huge election victory" and "the disaster of (insert anything Obama related)" along with "#MAGA".

I love reading Obama's well worded, rational speeches. Obama is how I would aspire to be if I was president, sadly some probably feel the same about Trump. Hope Obamas words here help energize the fight against this nonsense. He makes a lot of effective appeals that should connect with people.
