Trump 'wasn't aware of what scrapping DACA meant'

Thought this was great.

White House officials have raised concerns that Donald Trump didn’t completely grasp the implications of ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program before he made a decision about its future.

Administration officials privately fretted that Mr Trump may have not understood exactly what effects rescinding DACA could have, according to a report from the New York Times.

Trump's furry to undo everything Obama did (out of spite) lead to uninformed and stupid decisions. Trump further lacks the ability to understand the inner working of systems and to make rational decisions.

I'm surprised and shocked, not.

Honestly, I think we should make a list of things Trump does understand. Would make for a short list.

Remember when Obama's "inexperience" was such a concern for Republican leadership?

i'm so proud of donald trump for being the largest piece of shit on earth. his heartlessness and hatred are so disgustingly apparent in every decision he makes and i hope he dies a painful death

This is BS. in 2016, he was grilled on Meet the Press about this very issue and accepted the consequences of his stance.

During an interview with Chuck Todd, host of NBC's "Meet the Press," Trump said, "We have to make a whole new set of standards. And when people come in, they have to come in..." Todd then interrupted Trump, asking, "You're going to split up families. You're going to deport children." Trump replied, "Chuck — no, no. No, we're going to keep the families together. We have to keep the families together."

Todd then asked, "But you're going to kick them out?" Trump replied, "They have to go." Todd then asked, "What if they have no place to go?" Trump said, "We will work with them. They have to go. Chuck, we either have a country or we don't have a country. Either we have a country or not."

The man has no compassion or charity in him. He can be both clueless AND cruel at the same time.

Even his with his bigotry, lack of political experience, etc., the fact that someone so unintelligent became president is the most shocking.

I don't believe it, he knew more or less what it would do, this is just embarrassing excuse levels.

For what it's worth, that sounds like he still doesn't know what he's talking about. I agree on him being both cruel and a dumbass though.

That said, he knew enough about it to know he didn't want to associate himself with this move as much as possible.

So he either is a heartless racist or he's blindly undoing everything Obama did. Reguardless of wether it's good or bad. He's an asshole either way.

Does anybody believe this?

Surely he is taking advice about how to do things before doing them?

Is it really feasible that someone like that would be able to maintain a capitalist empire without taking advice from experts?

I am really asking the question here, I can't see how this is possible and isn't it just more sabre-rattling from a media that disagrees with him, rather than based in actual fact (case in point, how can an administration have so many leaks for instance)?

Here's the thing, I don't even believe that he didn't know, it's just the backlash has been even worse than he possibly could have imagined, and his tiny ego that feeds of praise and thinking people like him noticed how bad it is and now may be claiming he didn't know.

I don't want to tribute this to incompetence, it's far too easy of a way out when clearly everything we know if this idiot is that he is full of malice.

"more" sabre-rattling? Tell me more.

Dude literally asks people what Obama did and does the opposite.

This man has access to the nuclear codes.

Ponder that.

Not being aware of the consequences isn't really a get out of jail card when we are all radioactive Super mutants.

You take a good long look at Trump and tell me he isn't a stupid idiot.

I'm not in the US, so I don't have first hand knowledge of it. I just wonder how someeone can get to be at the position he is at and all he has done is 'oppose the previous incumbent'. It just sounds like the plot of a bad novel.

I am not saying this is not what is happening, but surely there are other influences that are fuelling this?

I'm also skeptical about the story in the OP, but to be fair the interview in your quote doesn't make him look any more knowledgeable on the topic.

Fair point... I'm just exasperated that every time this administration makes a move, we have to go through the same song and dance: journalists do their background calls and all the anonymous sources sing the tune of 'we tried to do better but he doesn't take advice/doesn't understand/got suckered by another faction'.

I really don't care much for the court intrigue and the degree of madness in the king; they're still moving the kingdom in terrible directions.

Nope, this is literally how he thinks. He was even asking the European leaders what Obama did and said "we're not doing that anymore, then"

He's a thin skinned revenge-centered spineless little shit, and even that is an insult to fecal droppings everywhere.
