I mean I figured that would be the case, but is there any good number?
I am thinking about over the next 6-12 months getting a store card at both amazon and best buy since those are where I shop the most. but I really don't want to get cards to fast, nor have to manage a ton of them (but with auto pay ideally managing a ton of them shouldn't be a huge issue even if I will still manually pay them each month to be sure)
buying a house is likely still a few years out as I want to knock off some of the student loans I have still before hand. thus building up a good amount of savings for a down payment to reduce my future home loan won't be easy until after I get rid of most of the student loan thus I have some time.
I also don't drive a ton so I am not to worried about a car loan as if my car dies and I need a new one I will likely just target a fairly cheap one that I could pay off with my emergency funds that I keep. so it's mostly the house loan that I am working towards building great credit for since even a fraction of a percent difference on the loan can make a huge difference in the long run.
just trying to build up nicely. I mean I will never put anything on credit that I couldn't afford to instantly pay off, so I am not worried about eventually getting hit with interesting on something I can't afford, but I am still learning how to play this game even though I have been following this thread for months. I know I can't rush things.
