This near-erotic desire for a wall is the weirdest thing to me. What the fuck is a wall going to do? I feel like "there's a wall" would be like the least intimidating thing about trying to get into America.

Especially since we'll be knocking it down as soon as he's gone.

The image of a 40 foot tall wall around America is pornography for white nationalists.

Trump created a new dream in the minds of these people - America as a literal fortress state for white christians. The wall is a symbol of keeping out everybody who isn't them.

So much piss and vinegar despite what seems like a pretty positive turn of events. I don't like Trump at all either but if the man wants to start making some smart decisions and do right by his country, I'm all for it and wish for his success. I have family that was the same way with Obama and when President Obama made some choices that they would of praised if he was Republican, they would always find something negative in it. Same coin, different sides.

I'm in agreement. I don't like the guy at all, but wishing him to fail, is wishing the country to fail. He needs to be steered in the right direction from Democrats since Republicans can't get anything done with all majority.

For me, the Russia stuff makes him a complete danger to democracy, regardless of who hoodwinked him along the way.
Don't get me wrong, this is good news!

He's still a monster and an idiot, just an idiot who's narcisism overpowers his more hateful tendencies.

If it he really wanted to do what was best for the country he'd just resign and take his whole corrupt administration with him.

Don't. Next week he will be licking the alt right's balls.

I think Nancy and Chuck have cracked the "Trump code" on how to handle him. Bait him with good headlines and praise and he'll do whatever you want.

Every time he's went with GOP or alt-right ideas, he's been met with terrible news that he hates more than anything. The Democrats offer him good ideas and good news reports and he likes that a lot.

This is a false equivalence!

You don't get it, we're supposed to start praising a Nazi because he's fixing a problem he created!

Doubtful. This man realizes that doing actually good things garners you praise and good press. His ego wants good things reported about him. Why stay with the team dragging you through the mud?

The Ann Coulter Tweet is delicious too, so good.

Agreed with the Russia stuff, but its mainly just a gripe I've always had with people on both sides since like many of you I have friends and family on both sides that seem to live in an echo chamber and are unwilling to think that anyone they deem as opposition has the potential to do anything right or make a change for the better.

In theory i can agree, but the GOP are fucking terrible. Show me a Republican policy that isn't complete dogshit that isn't geared towards funneling money to the 1% and I'll gladly change my tune.

Having said all that, I'm canadian. I've voted for green, ndp and the liberal party. Never conservative, but good god do they look like angels compared to your equivalent.

Their wacky adventures as they try to save the country while dealing with their lunatic boss, #AmnestyDon.

To be honest it's a great concept for a series - senior opposition politicians trying to find some way of duping the ideologically opposed but inexperienced leader of their nation into doing the right thing. Like a reversed Yes Minister.

There's no pivot, heel turn, or face turn. He's doing stuff that gets more positive media attention. He's still the same person.

It's not the same problem. People who think Trump is still a horrible person aren't in an echo chamber- they're the ones paying attention.

Trump created this problem that he is fixing

Why should anyone praise Trump for fixing a problem he caused??

both sides

This is great news but make no mistake, Trump is still Trump. He still the same bitter racist he was last week, just one that gets played but Cuck and Nancy regularly.

I love how she always poses like she's the most beautiful woman in the world when in reality she's ugly as sin.

It always seems really lazy to me when people pick on Ann Coulter's looks. She's been spewing hatred and nonsense for decades. There isn't anything there you could criticize first?

And even if Trump tries to aid the social side of politics now (which I bet only extends until it bumps head with religion) he is still going to deregulate the business side as much as possible.

I knew their base was gonna flip. Wall and no amnesty are probably the two biggest things for them.

This, undoubtedly, bodes well for democrats in 2018 and 2020. Let's see if they will fumble the ball again.
