Yeah, I'm pretty disappointed too. I'm really nervous about whether or not I'll be able to get a copy of VA-11 HALL-A from LRG or not. Not to mention the shipping to Japan will probably be really expensive. It would have been so much easier if I could have just bought a copy here...

Since it's GameMaker, both languages are most likely included in the build with only one set as default and unchangeable. If LRG as anything to do with that decision, who knows...

It wouldn't surprise me, to be honest. :/ When I first asked them if the Japanese version had English language support, they were very quick with replying "yes". It wasn't until two days later that the Japanese twitter replied to my tweet and told me that it actually would be Japanese only.

I'm a bit annoyed to be honest. This has always been the main title I want from LRG, and there's a good chance I'll miss out on it. I doubt they'd do a 24 hour preorder period for it, and since it's a Vita exclusive they probably won't print a ton of copies either. I really hope I can get ahold of it so I don't have to pay some ridiculous price to a scalper...

It would definitely suck if it was a commercial decision and not due to technical reasons. It kind of reminds me of Atlus being the only publisher that region locked a PS3 game to avoid imports and to maximize their profits.

Didn't something similar happen with the Asian/Korean Ys Origin LE? That had a bigger (hardcover?) book and soundtrack so I would have loved to get that one instead had it been in English. I believe LRG reached an agreement where they would be no other English LE.

I'm speculating off the tweets which is why I said I believe and didn't state it as a matter of fact. Am I sure that is the case? No, but some assurances could have been made (no other English release before yours, etc) since I'm sure LRG doesn't want another Ghost Blade situation. It could be similar with Valhalla.
