This is probably a long shot...any chance this game gets course builder with multiplayer in the future, eg Golf Story Maker?

Bought this on a semi-whim and holy shit what a fun game so far. Kinda throws you in at the deep end to begin with but it's great.

You get it at the very end. You need to do the rest first; get the old lady watching the exit her book, her soda, and her dinner. Then go outside.
Wait I can't leave yet. The old lady yells at me still. Already did everything else inside the mansion too (book, dinner, etc.). Am I missing something to be able to leave then get the green ball outside?

I was missing the chamomile soda.

If the old lady is still there then you haven't done everything yet.

If you got her the book and the dinner you probably still need to get her the soda. Once you've done that she'll go to sleep and you can leave.

Should I just buy every new set of clubs I encounter? I just finished the 4th course and I have a lot of money since I do every side quest I find.

Loving the game so far. Surprised how many new mechanics it’s thrown out after only two towns. A little stuck though. I think I need $300+ for some soda, but the only ways I know to make money are to play whole courses or maybe finish the cachers quest (which I haven’t quite figured out). I feel like I’m missing some mechanism for cash.

What does the “Y” value indicate on clubs? Is it additional yards beyond default clubs?
Yes. It's how much you're "standard maximum" distance will increase by equipping that club.

The only clubs you really need to progress you win or are given. Any extra clubs, buy them if you think their stats compliment your play style.

Side quest challenges (talk to everybody with a speech bubble over their head), hit coloured buoys floating on water and anything else that looks like an impromptu target, get balls into the bonus rainbow holes (one per area?), and I guess redoing tournaments?

Pretty sure the soda is $3 dollars and change if I remember correctly lol
Also basically any completed "quest"/ challenge nets you money. So talk to everyone with speech bubbles on their heads

Just made it into thto snow area. Overall I’m enjoying the game a lot with the only real complaint being the
rap battle going to long
. Some of the stuff feels a bit odd or filler but this game would be super short without it.

Completely forgot to add (end game spoilers)
the fact the map pans out and shows the AUS shape was excellent. Nice touch seeing as the developers are Australian.

So I'm struggling like mad with the three-quarter swing. I cannot progress from the enforced tutorial without nailing the shot, but try as I might, I cannot seem to give the game the three-quarters it's looking for.

I'm sure I'll feel stupid once I figure out how to do this, but I just quit in frustration after countless botched attempts. Has anyone else had this problem?

I love this game and I really hope they're planning a sequel after this with a lot of improvements people have mentioned.

Have arrows on on the green to indicate slope (like most other golf games), Harvest Moon/Tycoon golf course builder, Mario Golf style hits (like pressing A+B or B+A to make the ball roll further or roll is backwards), etc.

Can't find the last ore in snowy world to save my life. I've searched everywhere in the main area. Getting kind of sick of these fetch quests where one thing is really hard to find.

Where is this thing?

move on with the quests and it will become available, get it after you get the fireball

Think I have a game breaking bug. I'm at cheekybeak peak and trying to hit the different colored eggs back to the birds and all the colors worked fine except for red. I rebooted the game and it just won't clear . And no I'm not mistaking the orange circle from the red.

I thought I had the same problem with a different color. The problem (I think) is that the game is expecting you to hit it to a different red bird than the one you are currently aiming for. Turn around, adjust distance, etc. until you find another red bird and see if it registers.

There's 3 red birds around the circle and no matter where I put it the same bird takes it. Doesn't help there's someone stand right in front of where your teeing off

Edit: never mind there was a another red bird on the north east part of the map.

Yep. See FAQ in the OP @Outtrigger888

What if my bug isn't listed?

First it's important to verify what you're seeing is actually a bug. It could be one of the cases where the game doesn't hold your hand or doesn't present things as clearly as it could.

Example: one challenge asks you to hit the ball into an area marked with a red ring. You're doing that, but nothing is happening. Look around to see if there’s another red ring.

Maybe I'm too used to handholding but I often have no idea what I'm doing in this game (I love it though). I'm on the second world and need to find a bracelet from the pro shop (the pro shop on the first world has nothing to interact with) and a digging instrument.

You need to get in the Pro shop (not signposted) on that course. Completing a certain challenge will cause the shop to be opened.

Basically just talk to everybody and do their challenges. If you get stuck try a different area as there is some too and fro between areas.

I did all the side quests I could find except the cacher one. If it’s $3 I’m gonna laugh at myself later. Will turn on when I get a chance.

Sweet, thanks :)

It's never not satisfying to destroy Max Yards.

Finally I'm a pro! Still have to go back and clear a few of the snow area challenges but things generally feel like they're going pretty well so far. I keep holding off from using any of the special shots because it feels kinda like cheating, aside from an occasional ghost tee during match play. :p

This confused me too,
try looking northeast for the one red bird, rather than the patch with many of them. That's the one you have to hit it to.

Just fully cleared all of the Tidy Park stuff. Over 19 hours in but it still feels like I have a few more hours to go. Certainly didn't expect a game this long but I'm loving it. Such a fun, funny, and charming game.

Just came across my first bug, where the controls just stopped working after I clicked on the shop in Lurker Valley. Basically I clicked through the text box which naturally caused it to disappear but I couldn't move, open the menu or anything. Only thing that would work was pressing the Home button, so I shut the game and reloaded.

Fortunately I didn't lose anything after restarting the game, as the save was moments before.

I have galf and night galf but what is in between them and any hints? is it a reward for doing all the course architect challenges?

nvm i just got it and I beat the game. wow totally worth every penny bugs and all. I hope this team gets enough $$ to several other games.

What does the
Ghost Tee
actually do? The explanation doesn't exactly make it clear unless I'm overlooking something completely obvious?

When doing a round of golf it allows you to tee up anywhere, such as in the sand or the rough. Just hit up on the dpad to find it just like for the focus and power shots.

Oh man, three favorite moments (returning to Course 1 after Course 3 spoilers):
Coach showing the Heinrich "simulator" to the lady from Cheekybeak, then treating her to a roast dinner after the alternating match at Lurker Valley, and then the greenskeeper's lawn-mowing montage with the mole-rats, etc
. Along with the crazy
"Eradicate the Undead" mission
, this game is hilarious, haha. XD

Also, Lara is one of the best rival characters in an RPG. She missed her calling in the mainline Pokemon games.

Having played Stardew Valley on PC already (will get it on Switch eventually), I chose to get this game after I beat Mario + Rabbids and I'm so glad I did, having so much fun! Just finished the first tournament 7 under par. Ran into the infinite flight bug checking out Galf to end the night though...

I'm finding putting to be very unpredictable as the provided information doesn't seem enough. I've found more consistent success trying to go for chip ins just outside the greens.

I don't have the game, can someone post some gifs for me to enjoy?

I agree putting has too little information. Could be improved.

Possible there was a speech dialog and conversation off screen. See FAQ in OP
