This is an oldie but here is Resetera getting triggered by Valkyria Chronicles 4. Scroll to the bottom of the image for the good stuff.

Gotta love "dismissing concerns about female sexualization" as a rational.

Because in real life, I'm scared to death of someone being sexier than me.

I wrote about the game twice before, but ill just add to this with one other scene they went tits up with:

One of the characters in the game is constantly making inappropiate remarks to a lady character. His friends warn him not to do this as he may face punishment. ERA users claim objectification (And we should consider their feels) and forfeit any context to this matter. What's worse, the lady in question is perfectly capable of holding her own.

The thing about VC4 and ERA's response to it: Its literally purposefully attempting to cause a scene. This is what happens directly after the NPC talked about checking out her behind and subsequently grabbing the ladies ass:

The rest of the group cheers her for doing that. Hell, the group already premonitioned in advance to the guy that he better not do that. This is completely lost on ERA and The Names.

So what happens is that ERA looks at that scene and actually stops caring right at the moment when that NPC's hand grabs her ass, and subsequently ignores the aftermath (The consequence) of the NPC doing that gesture. They are deliberately ignoring consequences to the action made, thus deliberately ignoring and even lying about the context, to advance a narrative.

Its misleading AF and clearly the intent is to advance the ''We hate everything that involves women being seen as attractive'' narrative.

But when one veteran user literally points this shitty behavior out, he gets served a permban for ''User Banned (Permanent): Downplaying concerns of sexism and harassment as "outrage"; history of severe infractions.''

With the way ERA is drooling over Bowsette, they are in direct violation of their own rules. After all, they are objectifying a female character there, even when Bowsette is fictional.

That kind of irony never gets lost upon me: ERA acts in full outrage when a virtual fictional character stands up for herself when being objectified in their eyes, but it is totally okay with drooling over a virtual fictional character being placed in soft-erotic situations and which gets totally objectified by Mario/Luigi/Bowser.

Anyone seen that new thread about how RDR2 is doing a "digital red face" because the voice actor doing the role of Charles is not actually native american? I never rolled my eyes so hard in my life, considering that last time I tried to explain that in the acting world and voice acting world (which I'm part of, so I'm not pulling my info out of my ass) 90% of casting calls are open to all ethnicities, I didn't even bother replying in that thread cause it would probably result in another ban. They just don't understand that producers (especially in the VO world) don't give a flying fuck if you fit the "backround" of the character, if someone sounds better than you and does the job better then you, they will get cast. Was everyone in Serbia supposed to riot when they didn't use serbian actors to do the voices in GTAIV? What about the reverse, Darth Vader being voiced by one of the greatest voices, the character is Caucasian, yet the VA is African American, guess what? No one should care, because they're doing a good job....ugh....

I still have the game on my backlog, but from what i saw this is not even part of the main story, just a optional japanese beach troupe scene.

Its irrational to disregard the entire game based on this cutscene alone imo.

And that is a Sony published game. These games being censored are not actually pornographic, as they fall under the "Teen" and "Mature" ratings.
Actual pornography would get an AO rating, which no console allows.

If you read the screenshot, you see people defending the censorship because "it respects women".

You are not "letting people judge for themselves". You are giving them half the facts and then hoping they come to the conclusion you want. If you ACTUALLY cared about wanting people to make an honest judgement about something you would give them the whole story and not just cherrypicked screenshots and quotes. But we both know you don't actually care. You goal is to make Era look as bad as possible regardless of what the reality is. Providing context by blatantly lying about the censoring spree Sony's Commiefornia department, the same department that thought fit to ban Super Seducer from their platform but also show fit to celebrate Dream Daddy Simulator of entering their console. As a matter of fact, the SK games have been ported and uploaded to the PS brand without anyone batting an eye, and if you are so overly triggered to the point of traumatization to the point of calling this game pornography, well, you reveal a lot about both your marital status and your maturity status.

Last time I checked, the thread title clearly states "Don't make it personal" which you clearly seem to fail at. Nobody_Important is imo a bit too sensitive in regards to the NSFW part: The stuff isn't inherently NSFW, but it does make alusions to erotic stuff.
JordanN proclaims being just a messenger, but one cannot deny that a certain angle of melodrama is present in the posts he makes.

Therefore i don't believe either party is absolutely correct: Both look at things from different angles with different minuses. And i don't think we should hold some sort of contest to prove the other that their minus is better than the opposite party.

Because N_I loves to push disingenuous claims to make things seem worse than they actually are. Senran Kagura is about as much "porn" as a generic anime show is. Then again, his continued defense of ResetEra is admirable. It is nice to have that different view point, but that contribution is lessened when they make such inane claims like the "borderline porn" statement.

Being erotic is not the same as being "borderline porn". Horror films such as Friday the 13th can be considered "erotic", due to having "erotic scenes, but they are not porn for obvious reasons. Same goes here.
