Nah, I'm dead serious. Christians, hundreds of millions of people, think that homosexuality is a sin, blasphemy and immoral filth. Are you trying to say that the Holy Bible endorses it? Nope, treats it as a heavy sin.

Irrelevant in this discussion though. Both Era and GAF have strong rules against homophobic attacks. Someone using their religion to justify homophobic remarks should catch a ban on both sites.

To be clear, someone just saying "I believe homosexuality is a sin" is probably fine unless they're being very troll-ish with it in threads about LBGT-issues that they should just stay out of as that post adds nothing and is just meant to hurt people. But probably ok in other contexts. But people can't say things like "you're going to burn in hell f**" to another member or even things like "Gays are gross and are going to burn in hell,"and expect to get a pass just because they're the type of Christian who believes it's a sin. It's an attack on a member in the first case and against a group of people in the second--both are against the forum rules on both sites.

At least I hope that's the case rather than just the rules on the books as I want no part of any site that allows either type of comment to pass.

Sexism and racism IS allowed AND promoted at Resetera, AS LONG as it is directed to the right gender and/ or race color.

I remember getting forever banned on era because I said that there was no tangible proof of Daniel Vavra being a piece of shit and that he did his homework in regard to the depiction in Kingdom Come Delivrance

Got banned straight up even tho both points were proven to be true months after when he did a thorough presentation of what he did lmao

The old gaf mods were terrible, era mods are 10 times worse. Regular members here who went there and became mods think they are high and mighty.

Era reminds me of one of the PlayStation forums back then that had sub forums for xbox and nintendo as well. Mods there would give members INFRACTIONS on a daily basis, and thats what era is.

I got suspended earlier this year for the dumbest shit ever so i stopped posting over there, only posted last month seeing if old friends wanted to play ffxi. I criticized DF and a member(Brazil) there went at it with me and he asked a question and i refused since i was tired of his shit. I guess he got his mod friend plagiarize to suspend me. I see now that he became a mod, lol.

I have to say that after seeing the issues they are having with the migration there, that what Gromph did here with the migration was simply magical. It was virtually seamless. I browsed GAF for a while, put it down for an hour and with no heads up or warning boom brand new site.

Really shows how far ahead the technical team is here. Great job again on that guys.

It's honestly disgusting that they are getting back into their old ways, they will literally ban you if you do not fit within their zeitgeist bubble and create threads all the time that are basically honey-pots to ban anyone with a differing opinion.

At one point there was a thread and one of the commentors literally says, "White people are a mistake" a few people quoted him and were disapproving of what he said and then were banned for pointing it out. The racist guy was never even warned.... they are all under the assumption that attacking a white person or male is ok, but anything else that can be even remotely synical towards a minority or woman is bannable.

It's so one sided. At least keep that shit out of the gaming side.

That's hyperbolic as most people stay away from the drama threads and are just in the super active game OTs/community threads, news threads etc.

But yes, the huge population there--and here before--with huge mental health issues definitely drives a lot of the drama. I mean they have a couple people with 30,000+ posts, a bunch more with 10,000-20,000 in a site that’s been open a little over a year. You can’t be healthy and do that. And those active members dominate the shitty political and social issue threads and unfortunately have mod/admin support.

Thankfully they mostly don’t seem to play games so the game OTs and community threads are largely fine.
