Now you're changing your argument. Here is what I said.
Earlier, you said this.
You used the install base\attach rate argument to prove that the majority don't care about the exclusives. The evidence that I provided just goes to show how your argument is completely false.
Now you're moving the goalpost to "majority of consoles." The evidence show that exclusives are huge among PS gamers.
Lol I didn't change anything. Majority of consoles, from the first post you quoted is exactly what I said. Not my fault you're trying to justify a losing a debate.
The attach rate is higher on tons of multi-platforms AAA titles, this isn't disputable. As, I've been saying all along. The fact they can you have multiple multi-platform games being released every year in said franchise, and are still able to maintain a higher attachment rate than the majority of PS4 exclusives proves just that. There's multiple frachise entries in franchises that have sold more than PS4 exclusives, thus, higher attatchment rate. Then you take into account the install base of said game within a year of it's release, and it's even more obvious. This isn't debateable.
Do you realize this is for the month?
Top 10 games this year.
This is all platforms for the year and there are two PS exclusives on this list.
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 4**
- Red Dead Redemption II
- Far Cry 5
- Marvel’s Spider-Man
- NBA 2K19
- God of War 2018
- Monster Hunter: World
- Madden NFL 19**
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Call of Duty: WWII**
Your argument is failing, man. Badly.
My bad. I had quoted the monthly October numbers, not YTD. In any event, the monthly only had 1 PS4 exclusive in it. While AAA Multi-Platform titles are consistantly charting in the monthly Top 10.
I think that because there are so many different exclusives for the PS4 its sort of hard to single out any one game as the reason everyone bought the thing, which is why most (with exceptions like gow and Spiderman) dont have insanely high individual sales numbers. I mean there are probably at least 20 franchises/games someone would have bought a PS4 for, and there is likely not a ton of overlap between many of them (who knows, maybe the Senran Kagura crowd also really is in to MLB The Show).
Id love to do some dataminig of trophy lists to figure out a Venn diagram of PS4 exusives ownership, because I bet it would be very interesting.
Agreed.
