I tried out the beta as well. It's one of the more promising arcade racers I've played in awhile. The controls need a little tweaking imo. It seems to me like they're trying to mimic Ridge Racer and haven't quite got there yet. It's too easy to come out of a drift, so going around an "S" curve means you have to restart a drift. Once you straighten out, your car, the drift ends automatically. Also, starting a drift could use some tweaking imo. For instance, if you tap the gas, it has to be a specific amount of time. For example 1/2 sec between releasing and reapplying the accelerator will initiate a drift. I found this the best method to use, but the problem is if you try to initiate a drift outside of that window, it won't work. This is a problem for tighter turns where you need to slow down. Tapping your breaks to start a drift requires you to also be accelerating and more often than not caused me to crash. Maybe I just need to adjust to the controls, but I think the learning curve might end up turning some people off if they can't get this ironed out.
